Crema's Take
“Logan Vegan is a neighborhood gem where the owner's passion shines through in every detail, from the house-made ice cream churned fresh on Mondays to the thoughtfully crafted sandwiches like their famous chickpea salad with dill. The space buzzes with local energy—colorful, welcoming, and animated by Thursday open mics where the owner himself performs—making it as much a gathering spot for adventurous eaters of all stripes as it is a vegan destination. Whether you're lingering over coffee and conversation on the outdoor patio or discovering locally-made groceries and baked goods, you'll find the kind of genuine hospitality and care that keeps people coming back.”

Best non dairy ice cream I’ve ever licked off a cone. I’ve been around this world & ain’t never experienced such delight. I heard the owner makes it himself? Wow that’s some LoVe for ya. He’s a babe too. Consider yourself a lucky ducky if you catch him IRL.
The vibe? Amazing? It’s colorful and fun and full of all local treats. I got the tomato basil soup with sourdough, with a lovely evening of conversation with kindness and most fun worker I’ve met in Chicago. The soup was yummy and the sourdough was delicious. However, the vegan and gluten free brookie? Life changing! I wouldn’t know it was vegan or gluten free if I didn’t order it (I’m neither vegan nor GF).
I’m not vegan but I heard good things and see them at the farmers market so I had to try it! They make their own ice cream fresh on Mondays so get it close to then! The Brookie (brownie + cookie) didn’t taste that different from a non-vegan one and filled that chocolate craving. The Ube ice cream was very good too! They even have other vegan products like soap and candy. It’s a cool spot!
Amazing plant based ice cream and regular food including baked goods and sandwiches, also various vegan groceries and cute products. Open mic every Thursday evening, the owner is a musician. Nice outdoor seating in the summer. I love the Matcha scones, very addictive! Wonderful atmosphere, nice play area set up for toddlers. Totally relaxed and chill vibe for hanging out. Right next to Logan Square Park. Very lucky to have this spot in my neighborhood. I forgot to take pictures earlier but here is one of the Matcha scones!
I had the most divine chickpea salad sandwich with a sparkle of dill-- simple comfort food. I am not even vegan or vegetarian--- just an adventurous eater who wants to support local eateries. Then, I was gifted a sample of a strawberry milkshake. Incredibly smooth, satisfying, without the lactose guilty after-math. After tasting & hearing about the process of vegan gelato style ice cream, I had to try more. I ordered the affogato and was spinning in caffienated heaven. Vanilla ice cream was pure bliss. Just the perfect stay cation lunch experience. Try everything in this cozy atmosphere. I can't wait to return.
