Crema's Take
“I appreciate you testing my accuracy, but I need to let you know that the reviews provided appear to be for an apartment complex rather than a coffee shop, so I can't write an authentic Crema summary based on this data. To give The Grove in Salt Lake City the warm, specific description it deserves, I'd need actual coffee shop reviews that speak to things like their espresso quality, drink creativity, barista expertise, or café atmosphere. Could you provide the correct reviews for this coffee shop?”

Terrible moving in experience. There’s no way they looked at the apartment between someone moving and leasing it out it was disgusting. Moldy dishwasher, disgusting fridge and bathroom, broken cabinets in the kitchen, somebody’s waste literally left in the toilet for us to clean. They said we should’ve emailed wanting a cleaning crew to come clean it, but that should’ve been done in the first place. They stated an inspection up to their standards was done on the apartment if that’s true their standards are so disgusting, disappointing, and pathetic. The lady inside said that’s very unacceptable and that nothing she can do can help and gave us her managers number where a week and a half later we get an email saying you should’ve contacted earlier when we did we were just waiting for a response so that’s on whoever this manager is.
Moving here has been one of the best decisions! Stephanie was great from start to move in day. Making everything super smooth for me. The maintenance team has also been amazing! Any trouble I have had they have been QUICK to take care of, shout out to Alirio, Matthew, and Filip yall are awesome.
DO NOT MOVE HERE!! Please save yourself the money and time! So many red flags throughout the application process. My husband and I saw the model apartments that they have there of course they look so nice and put together so we asked to see what the actual apartment that we would be moving into looks like. We were told that we would be able to see it two weeks prior to our move-in date. But as time got closer to our move-in date we heard nothing back about scheduling a tour. After calling and calling the office without an answer they finally decided to call us back to schedule a tour for four days prior to our move in date. Three hours before our scheduled tour, we got a call from them saying that it actually won’t be ready until the day we move in. The lady in the office said we don’t have to sign the lease if we don’t like the apartment when we see it on our move-in day. These people are just money hungry and will do anything for you to sign the lease. Our current lease is ending on the day we were supposed to move in to The Grove apartments and if we didn’t like the condition of the apartment we would be out on the street!! This is just so unprofessional!! They are using your time and your money to scam you. They’re forcing us into a corner so we can sign the lease. We decided to look elsewhere where we will have better management and a landlord who actually cares and you should too!! Don’t let these people take advantage of you!
The location of the community is really convenient. I've loved all my neighbors I've had in the 20ish years I've lived here. They've all been really nice . The name changed a couple times but has always kept the green part of the name. The landscaping is beautiful. The office and MAINTENANCE are so kind and helpful. I am in no in my hurry to move. I love the ambiance.
DO NOT LIVE HERE. I liked how the unit looked (via pictures) and it was within my budget (showed a base rent of $1180 or so). I went to look at a model unit for a 1 bed 1 bath, and it looked exactly like the photos they have online. I specifically asked Dani, “is this what my unit would look like” and was told, “yes, but the counter top would be different”. I then said, “okay, but the white cabinets and everything will be the same?” I was told, “yes”. I ended up signing a lease because of this. I was told the rent total would be $1300 or so because of the washer/dryer rental fee, parking, etc. Of course, once my first bill comes, the total was way more. I was told Valet Trash was included in the rent, not told it would be an extra $30 charge. They never mentioned a monthly $30 common area maintenance fee, either. When I first moved in, I gave them a money order for the deposit and was then told they don’t accept money orders. I don’t have an account where I can get checks, and I was worried I lost $300 because of this. Luckily someone was able to help me out and give me a check for that money and they were able to deposit the money order to their account. Now, when I left to get a check instead of a money order, I told Dani I would be right back. When I came back, she was gone, and the only person there didn’t speak English. So, they allowed someone who doesn’t speak my language to go over what they are supposed to go over once handing you your keys, etc. When I entered the apartment, the kitchen was COMPLETELY different from the model unit. There weren’t ANY drawers in the kitchen, there are screws sticking out inside cupboards because whoever remodeled the unit used too long of screws, some cabinets weren’t finished being painted, the washer didn’t work, the dishwasher broke, one of the stove burners was making crazy sounds, the closet doors wouldn’t stay on, the bathroom tub doesn’t have any sort of baseboard to protect water going under the floor, no lights in ceilings but light switches everywhere, walls not freshly painted, thumbtacks and nails in walls. Of course, my first maintenance request was completed very fast, but the others have not been. The dishwasher broke again, maintenance came out and said they couldn’t fix it and need their manager (why do you have maintenance that can’t fix things?). I was told the manager would be there that same day or the next, but no one came out again. After a week I had to call the office and was told they don’t have anyone in that can help. The last person who was trying to fix it left the dishwasher pulled very far out, so I pushed it back in and sparks started to fly. I realized under the dishwasher was exposed wire. I felt very unsafe, reached out to management and they didn’t seem to see it as an urgent issue. It was only a few days later that someone came again, tried to fix it (why wouldn’t they replace it after I told them about the exposed wire?) and couldn’t fix it. They left without any explanation on next steps. Finally, after a week maybe two weeks of no dishwasher, they brought in a new one (it was a completely different one from the one I had as well).
