This unique coffee shop earns every 5 star and more. We gathered with relatives for an afternoon spot of coffee and each drink was hand crafted to perfection. Many options to choose from and the presentation and service were amazing. We lingered on the dog friendly patio and had a wonderful time. Do not miss this unusual spot if you land in Phoenix. Many thanks to the owners for treating us like family. Loved the tour!!!
Enjoyed our time here! Indoor and outdoor seating (dog friendly outside). My husband enjoyed the coffee which had free refills. I had the dark chocolate chai which tasted more like milk chocolate with a hint of chai. Maybe next time I'll ask for another shot of chai. But I would definitely come again!
The Coffee Builders is an absolute must if you’re visiting the Phoenix area. My husband and I came every day of our trip and it was consistently delicious. The coffee was always the right temperature for drinking, and the beans were never burned. My favorite was the orange blossom latte, which had a smooth orange taste throughout. If you like a creamsicle, this latte was essentially it. I highly recommend getting it iced, as it comes with a delicious cold foam on top. I also greatly enjoyed the slopes latte, which had a light and refreshing blueberry taste - it should be stirred though to ensure the flavor remains consistent throughout. My husband loved his Masala Gold latte, but also tried the Fire & Ice luxury drink, which involved it being smoked at the table. The drink is an award winner, and for obvious reasons. No matter what drink we had, it always proved to be some of the most delicious coffee I’ve ever gotten to enjoy. Food-wise, we really enjoyed the loaded avocado toast. I was hesitant at first since it came with guacamole on it, but it was excellent. The tomatoes and shallots worked nicely with the guacamole and it made for a very filling breakfast. The fruit cup was also lovely, and it tasted very fresh which is such a nice treat in January for an out-of-stater. Finally, the vibe was impeccable and the people were lovely. The staff were all excited to talk about the menu and gave amazing recommendations. This is the kind of place that you want to sit down and spend an hour or two just hanging out at, either on their patio or inside. When we go back to Phoenix, this is first on my list to go back to.
Accio Coffee! The shop is located in south Phoenix onsite of a lumber yard. This was a brilliant idea by the owner of Porter Barn Wood and Porter Iron Works to draw people in with a coffee shop. Plus, they get to show off their work with the cool wood ceilings and the iron fencing on the patio. The theme changes every couple of months, with past themes including Star Wars and Lego. And they go all out! The decor and the menu has a complete overhaul letting you be fully immersed in the themeing. The photos came to life, candles were floating, the movie was playing, and we even spotted platform 9 3/4. We added to the fun by wearing costume pieces and carrying wands. It brought us great joy to start our day so magical. I was sorted into Hufflepuff after mixing my drink (The Sorted Hat) with a mystery glitter cotton candy. The Herbologist drink was like an orangcicle with added spices. The champagne deviled eggs were delicious and the donut stack was a little added sugary fun for breakfast. We didn't use the Lumos spell as we really enjoyed the vibes of the darker interior lighting. Hurry, and apparate to Coffee Builders before the Wizarding world is gone!
I have been to The Coffee Builders twice now, and I have had an outstanding experience each time. It is one of my top five coffee shops in Arizona, and for good reason. I have had their regular cold brew and their regular hot coffee straight up black. What I like about them is their bold taste and how easy their coffee is on my insides. I can tell that they have brewed their coffee beans to perfection without any preservatives. While their coffee is incredible, the best part is the service. Every staff member is so friendly and fun to talk to. Whenever they are not busy, I enjoy having pleasant conversations with them. You can tell that they care about making everyone feel welcome and having a great experience in their shop. I did not meet the owner, Thomas, the first time I visited, but today he was there, and I would like to give him a shoutout for making The Coffee Builders possible. He appreciated the support and, like the other staff members, made me feel right at home. I like the atmosphere as well. The pleasant atmosphere makes it a great place to relax and enjoy your coffee. A perfect little coffee shop in Phoenix to grab a fantastic cup of coffee to start your day. I enthusiastically recommend it to anyone looking for an outstanding coffee shop in the Phoenix area, and I will be a loyal customer.
