Crema's Take

This charming Napa spot pairs a lovely terrace setting with genuinely excellent pastries and breakfast sandwiches that locals rave about, making it an ideal quiet refuge for lingering over coffee and conversation. While service can be inconsistent, the best moments here involve friendly staff and house-made treats like gluten-free muffins that justify a visit off the beaten path.

I had an unfortunate experience at Silverado Market & Bakery due to the attitude of the lady at the cash register. My wife, who is on disability, was treated with rudeness, indifference, and what seemed like a lack of empathy. The cashier's demeanor came across as dismissive and, at times, even disrespectful, which is unacceptable in a customer service role. It's disheartening to encounter such behavior, especially in a place that should prioritize making every customer feel welcome and valued. Customer service plays a crucial role in any establishment, and I strongly recommend better training to ensure that all staff treat guests with kindness, respect, and professionalism. Unfortunately, this experience overshadowed our visit, and I hope the management takes steps to address these concerns.

Sam and Joe were excellent. Full service with a smile. We had tea and a gluten free chocolate muffin which both were delicious. Cute little shop with a terrace and a view. Out of the way of the hustle and bustle.

Oh boy. The kids run the daycare! Today, I had one of the most displeasurable dining experiences in my life at this market. If you can even call it dining. The setup is simple: you place an order, pick it up, and either eat there or take it to go. I ordered a mushroom pizza and after waiting 35 minutes, I asked the staff about my order. I was told my pizza had been flipped inside the oven and I would need to wait another "5 minutes" for a replacement. However, I ended up waiting an additional 35 minutes before the pizza finally arrived. 70 minutes total. My pizza was in a stack of other pizzas, and given the situation I should have been given my pizza first after such a long wait. But the cook did not make the connection or even think to offer better customer service at this point. Furthermore, the so-called pizza chef was visibly upset that I was unhappy, but I explained that better communication could have alleviated the situation. At no point was I informed about the delay or the issue with my pizza; I had to be proactive in asking. Waiting 70 minutes for a pizza, which was not very tasty, is unacceptable. Unfortunately, this is the only dining option available on the premises that isn't expensive. Someone seriously needs to address these issues. There were other patrons who asked me about my experience who had been waiting for their Pizza as well. The staff takes an excessively long time to make pizzas that are subpar at best. I will be opting for GrubHub next time.

Ordered a $14 roast beef sandwich, asked for "Everything" on it, paid. Received a stale bread roll with MUSHROOMS, roast beef, cheese, stale bread roll... I HATE MUSHROOMS AND NEVER ASKED FOR ANY.... no "everything" ingredients either, no lettuce, no tomato, no pickles, NOTHINNG BUT MYSHROOMS... Was too thin for $14 spent. Clerk says the sandwiches come premade and there are no extra toppings. Ripped off
