Crema's Take
“Buteco is a vibrant American-Mexican spot that's gained serious local love for its exceptional tacos and welcoming atmosphere, where you're just as likely to linger over coffee and board games as you are to grab a quick lunch break. The chill, jazzy vibe draws a mixed crowd of remote workers and friends—arrive early or be ready to mingle, as this place has a reputation for getting delightfully packed, especially on comedy nights. Beyond the stellar food and creative cocktails, what really sets it apart is how genuinely the staff makes everyone feel at home, whether you're there for a solo afternoon coffee or hosting a meeting.”

Please note, this is not Brazilian. It has its signature Brazilian cocktail, and some Brazilian inspired apps or quick eats. It’s American Mexican. I came in the afternoon for a coffee, the bartender/barista was very sweet and iced coffee and iced tea on point !! Perfect. Then I came back for evening dinner. The staff had below average customer service. Not very friendly and not helpful. They were training someone the night I was in, which is totally cool, but waiting to close my tab I was standing around for what seemed like 5 min at least because one bartender was attending everyone, while another bartender and the trainee stood behind the counter just talking! Use this opportunity to show how customer service is done and cash out & cash in the customers! Very odd. Got the outlaw margarita, it was standard, there was no garnish or fancy cup and it was priced too high. I was looking forward to the espresso martini but it’s not on the menu. The kitchen cooks are polite and quick. The TACOS were outstanding. The carne Asada birria was the BEST I HAVE EVER HAD. Note they are small. The yucca fries are good with cilantro sauce. The rest of the apps sub par and the rice and beans a rip off, mushy rice and canned beans. Skip those. Stick to shrimp and carne asada tacos and get them birria!!! This place could use better employees/bartenders and a lesson in customer friendly inviting service! I’d definitely be back for the tacos alone.
Great coffee great food great atmosphere great staff. I really enjoyed hosting my meeting here and I will definitely be back next time because I want to check out comedy night.
It's a really chill and cool vibe. A great place to go for lunch break if you live around the area. They play some smooth jazz music and if you like board games they got those too. I went in to get some chai tea latte and it was magnificent. I definitely will be coming back.
Stopped by here on a Wednesday night with friends. We came early so we found seats, however, seating was scarce so I reccomend bringing a foldable chair or being prepared to stand. The weather was cooler but there were plenty of heaters outside and it was warm indoors. They have a menu with Mexican food so its a good spot for a late night bite. The music was good and there were various djs throughout the night. Good spot for a nightcap.
A local brought me, and I’m SO thrilled. The. Best. Tacos. I’ve ever had. My OG fav is up by Philly and I happily dropped it to 2nd after I had the fish and tofu tacos here. Also, the bartender introduced me to Caipirinhas - delicious. I’ll be back every time I’m in Atlanta.
