Crema's Take

Tucked into Middleton, 1855 Coffee House is a quaint neighborhood gem where baristas craft imaginative seasonal lattes like blueberry lavender alongside thoughtfully sourced espresso roasts, all served in a charming space that feels equally welcoming whether you're grabbing a quick coffee or settling in for an unhurried morning. The kitchen matches the coffee's creativity with standout avocado toast and breakfast sandwiches that draw people to drive out of their way, while the team's genuine flexibility in customizing drinks to your preferences makes every visit feel personal. It's the kind of place where excellent service, quality ingredients, and a family-friendly atmosphere combine to create experiences that keep regulars coming back month after month.

Lovely, quaint and delicious are words that just don't do justice here! First time here. I had the avocado toast and English lavender latte. Both had excellent flavor. The decor makes the experience all the better. Highly recommend!!

We had the blueberry lavender latte and Brewhahaha Sumatra and Bump n Grind Roasts. All very good. The avocado toast had some hearty bread with cream cheese a n d avocado 🥑 and the breakfast croissant had egg and bacon. All delicious and fresh made. We went home with 4 bottles of Mr. Tea's kombucha.

I've been going here monthly for the last year or two, the service is excellent as well as the food. I love how they're flexible in adjusting the on-menu options to fit preferences. The local sourcing of ingredients and coffee is really cool. The vibe inside, with the bank vault filled with items for sale from area small businesses, is awesome!

What a cute little place! Stopped in for a coffee while waiting for the tap house across the street to open, and happy I did. We got their seasonal lattes which were delicious, and everything is priced very reasonably. Service was friendly and fast, and they even have a little shop of local wares. Definitely a must stop if you're in Mazo!

This place is great. The service is wonderful, the coffee is good and the food is great. I drive 7 min in the opposite direction of my work to grab a coffee as well as one of the best breakfast sandwiches I've had in a very long time, the classic egg on a everything bagel. IT'S SOOOOO GOOD. They also have local clothing, jewelry, tea, coffee, and candles available for sale too. I truly love this place.
