Starwood Cafe

Very nice, warm, welcoming staff. VERY loud when busy. Food is mediocre. This feels like every other breakfast spot that’s opened around here lately, same menu, same ingredients. We ordered the Mom’s Breakfast (over medium egg, sausage patty), and Southern Benedict. I don’t know what brand their sausage is, but lots of places use it AND ITS DISGUSTING, like a hockey puck with some spices. Also, was cold. Pancakes were good, egg cooked well. We did not receive the Southern Benedict, but some other lighter Benedict with no meat. Side of cheese grits not quite done, and “cheese” means a handful of shredded cheese not really mixed in. We didn’t complain, it’s fine, easy mistake. Coffee was thick, a bit too strong for my taste, didn’t need a second cup. Prices seemed a bit high for basic fare. I expected a bit better from Trophy Club.

Nice little place. I got the chicken fried steak and the flavor was spot on. It would have been a 5 star review but a little over 1/2 way through I hit the hard (very) chewy spot. Unfortunately with chicken fried steak it is about a 50/50 chance of getting one that is tough to chew. Luckily I wasn't all that hungry that day. I will definitely go back and give it another try since the flavor was so good.

Asked for extra salsa for chilaquiles and they brought me soup. It’s impossible to get authentic good chilaquiles around here. Chef has never had authentic chilaquiles if the meaning of extra salsa means this and he thinks is ok. I didnt eat them. Server even laughed and was embarrassed when he saw what they gave me. Im also suspicious this is not salsa made from scratch.

Delicious breakfast, portion was big too! Service was very good, our server was on top of it and came to refill our coffee 3 times. Good way to start the day!

Food: I ordered three eggs fried over hard with cheese, and avocado, and three strips of bacon. Overall, cannot complain about what I ordered. The bacon was cooked perfectly, the eggs could have been better, and the avocado was fresh. 4.0 out of 5 Service: The service was outstanding. I called my order in and the guy took my order pretty quickly and when I got there, I only waited less than five minutes. The manager at the front desk was super nice and attentive. 5 out of 5 Atmosphere: The atmosphere was wonderful. I can see myself coming in there for some work and a cup of tea one day. Price: I paid a little over $11 for what I ordered. So, I think that is a bit high however, it was feeling.
