My go-to spot when I’m in Scranton or Nepa. I live outside the area now so I don’t frequent as much. The staff are usually so friendly. The coffee is great, especially if you value the flavor over just the caffeine. I will say it does draw a hipster crowd but they mostly keep to themselves. Do yourselves a favor after reading this review, head to Zummo’s and order up a coffee (or two) and enjoy the atmosphere!
Was really cool to see Rival Bros coffee brewed here! A great oat milk cappuccino and seriously delicious vegan banana, chocolate, and peanut butter scone. Loved there being a handful of vegan pastry options. The vegan sandwich sounded really good, but was only available as a catered platter option. Will definitely be back next time we swing through on way to Montage!
This is our pit stop on our trips between Brooklyn and Syracuse. Good coffee, good food and good people. Lot of space to chill inside and during the warmer months, it's possible to sit outside.
A cozy-ish cafe with tasty drinks and snacks. The decor is cute, there's plenty of tables and seating options, with indoor and outdoor available. I say cozy-ish because actually the big room with the most tables is really loud when busy - some sound-dampening carpets or such would probably help here. We got 4 drinks and they were all very good - cortado, monkey milk smoothie, and chestnut praline chais. I really liked the chai flavor, although I'd ask for it less sweet next time. They forgot to make our smoothie so we had to ask them for it after a while and in applogy they gave us free macarons. The macarons were really well made - good feet, proper amount of chew, smooth fillings in just the right amount 😋 To enter, they do have a ramp as an alternate to the stairs. The stairs go to the counter area and the ramp goes to the big room with tables. I would like to suggest a couple changes to make the ramp entrance more ADA friendly: the door had a plant behind it so it couldn't open all the way. Then there's chairs/tables to the left of the door real close which makes it additionally awkward/cramped feeling to get in. And then it felt like there wasn't a proper path to the counter room because of how the tables/chairs were arranged throughout the room, kinda had to swerve around and such which is harder for those with limited mobility. Overall though it's a nice local cafe and I'd gladly stop by again when I'm in the area.
I got an iced latte it was good! I saw they use monin syrups so I didn’t get it flavored. They have a lot of seating options as well.
