Crema's Take
“FIVE Java feels like stepping into a carefully curated vintage sanctuary, with creaky antique hardwood floors and artistic wooden details that make each visit feel special. Whether you're settling in with your laptop for a focused work session or treating yourself to their beloved breakfast parfait, the combination of stellar cold brew, solid wifi, and genuinely welcoming service creates the kind of third-place atmosphere that keeps regulars coming back—bonus points if you catch their Sunday brunch live saxophone performances.”

Superb cafe in downtown Tuscaloosa. Sane prices, great portions, healthy options, and excellent service. My favorite is the breakfast parfait - post workout. It's where I start my day when visiting the University.
This has been my go to "office" lately. The wifi is amazing and the coffee is great. I usually will come and work on my laptop for several hours (they close at 3pm).
Delicious cold brew coffee, amazing decor and vibe. Feels very cozy with gorgeous, creaky, antique hardwood floors and wooden carved onlays. Very unique, artistic decorations hang from the walls. A plush loveseat sits over by the window. There's almost always a gorgeous dog sitting somewhere. Everyone I've met who works here is friendly and makes terrific coffee drinks. It's my favorite place in Tuscaloosa to get coffee.
Very cool atmosphere and architecture. Connected to a restaurant, but a solid coffee operation nonetheless
This a such a wonderful and delightful place!! During Sunday Brunch they have a live sax musician who is just phenomenal (mix between older and current songs). Everything he played made me want to dance to the smooth jazz melody and even sing along sometimes 🤣. The ambiance is awesome with a rustic vibe and food was delicious. My Hubbie had a brunch/breakfast burger and I had the same except on a bean burger. Both were a “party in your mouth.” I don’t typically do reviews, but for my coffee shop and cafe lovers, this is a MUST visit!!! We stayed several hours working and reading during our Hurricane Ida evacuation. This is how we made lemonade out of lemons!!
