Crema's Take
“Mountain House Cafe is a true neighborhood gem that nails the cozy coffeehouse experience with its exposed brick, big windows, and thoughtful details like gorgeous glassware and local art on the walls. The staff genuinely cares about helping you find your perfect drink, and they back up the welcoming vibes with legitimately delicious coffee and substantial breakfast options beyond the typical pastry case. Whether you're settling in with your laptop or just need a pick-me-up after yoga, this locally-owned spot feels like the kind of place where everyone becomes a regular.”

One of the coziest cafes in the city! They’re very kind, friendly, and helpful, offering lots of suggestions when I was feeling very indecisive. 😅 Gorgeous mugs, lovely vibes, and delicious coffee, pastries & food make this place a 10/10 for me.
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Cozy neighborhood gem 💎! Stopped into Mountain House Café after a yoga class at Blue Sky Yoga Studio 🧘🏻 and it was exactly the pick-me-up I needed. ☕✨ Nechama H. (Jew from the Lou! 🎙️ 💻) made us a special Café Miel 🍯 — sweet, rich, beautifully crafted with almond milk and a touch of cinnamon dust. Absolutely perfect. The space feels local, warm, and cozy, the kind of spot where you immediately feel at home. Big shout-out to owner John, whose kindness and presence really foster a genuine sense of community. ❤️ Highly recommend this place if you want great coffee, good vibes, and a true neighborhood feel. 🌿
By far the coziest, most inviting, and classic home owned coffee shop in this area. The big open windows, plants, exposed brick, wood floors, local art, and calm coffee shop music fill the space with warmth. Not to mention their coffee selection is incredible and incredible tasting. Worth the visit if you are looking for a new spot! Staff were so personal and kind. Thank you for making my day MountainHouse Cafe!
We ordered iced mocha latte, salted caramel latte, a apple pistachio bundt cake and oatmeal chocolate chip cookies. They serve the in store drinks in the cutest glass cups. The drinks are delicious perfect blend of strong and sweet. Cake had the creaminess of pumpkin pie but the flavors of cinnamon, and apple. This is my favorite type of cookie in my opinion it was a little dry but still good. My only complaint was the paper straws but atleast they are good for the environment.
I am super particular about my coffee shops, and have never found one with great coffee and a great filling breakfast (not just pastry and sweets). Great breakfast croissant and great cappuccino, super friendly and kind workers...you never know what you're gonna get these days! Just when I thought it couldn't get any better, a beautiful, gracious dog came running out from the back and sat by the front door to greet each patron. This place feels like I'm being served in my own living room in the best way possible. 5 STARS
