Crema's Take

Tucked inside Devon Tower's main floor, Aravalli pairs quality coffee with Italian gelato in an intimate setting that's perfect for a quick escape or working lunch. While their nitro cold brew earns solid marks for smoothness and their pastry selection impresses, the execution can be inconsistent—gelato texture and hot chocolate preparation have disappointed some visitors. It's a worthwhile stop if you're in the tower and craving specialty cold brew or a sweet treat, though quality control seems to vary.

Aravalli Coffee + Gelato is a small café that aims to blend quality coffee with indulgent gelato treats, making it a sweet stop for casual visits and light breaks throughout the day. The coffee menu features familiar options like well‑extracted espresso, lattes, Americanos, and cold brews that pair nicely with the dessert‑oriented offerings. Gelato here tends to be creamy and flavorful, with classic flavors like chocolate and vanilla as well as rotating seasonal choices that showcase fruit or unique combinations.

I stopped by for gelato while having lunch from Vast. There haven't been a lot of gelato places for me to go to, but this didn't meet my expectations. It was gritty with ice crystals, not as dense and creamy as it should be, and there wasn't enough flavor to it. I'll be going elsewhere to find the qualities I expect from gelato.

Located inside the Devon Tower, tucked to the side as you approach the restaurants and open dining areas of the main floor. I worked across the street and would frequently pop over here to have my lunch, even if I brought a sack. Aravalli deserves three stars for their coffee selection, is not the best beans you'll ever taste. They deserve four stars for the sweets and treats, but only two stars for service and atmosphere. Too often when I came in, I would get indifferent service. Only one of the baristas was very friendly, and she admitted to me that her manager asked her to be "less friendly"!!! Another quibble: I was presented with a rewards card, but after using it a few times to get punches, I was told they changed the policy to only give punches when $5 was spent. My drinks were $4 plus change. What the hell? Seems very cheap to me. I tore the card up and went back less frequently.

Good coffee, but a bit pricey. I did enjoy the nitro cold brew. It was sweeter and mellower than regular coffee. They do have a good selection of desserts / snacks.
