Maple Street Biscuit - Quarry Village
290 East Basse Rd, San Antonio, TX
Crema's Take
“Maple Street Biscuit in Quarry Village is a spacious, welcoming spot that does Southern breakfast and brunch right, from their crispy chicken and waffles with bacon baked into them to creative biscuit sandwiches like the Five and Dime with mushroom gravy. It's the kind of place that genuinely accommodates everyone—whether you're squeezing in solo, bringing the whole family, or hosting your office Christmas breakfast—and they execute their comfort food with enough care that you'll notice the details, like the house-made jam and properly seasoned sausage. The slow-paced, sit-around vibe and generous portions make it feel less like a quick caffeine stop and more like a proper gathering place in San Antonio.”

So yummy! Plenty of space for different size groups/tables. Several coffee selections. We had the "Five and Dime" with mushroom gravy and an over easy egg. This was very difficult to cut up because it's essentially breakfast all in one. It was so good!!!! We also had the cinnamon biscuit (didn't look like the delicious pictures, but tasted delicious so it was ok). Restaurant and bathrooms were clean. Staff was very polite and helpful.
Let me start off by saying my sister LOVES this place and I really wanted to love it too, but unfortunately that's just not the case. It was my first time here, paid about $50 for me, my mom and my daughter, not bad. My mom and I got a sausage, egg and cheese biscuit and both sandwiches came out cold 🙄 I asked them to microwave it bc I really didn't mind that, they remade both sandwiches, great! When we got the fresh one's they had little to no flavor, and how are your biscuits hard?! Even McDonald's and Whataburger have soft biscuits during peak hours. The smashbrows were actually very good. Cinnamon donuts, very mid, little flavor. If you get the coffee bar it's pretty cool, I believe 4 or 4 different favored coffees, endless if you choose that option. The service was normal, nothing to rave about. Needless to say, we won't be coming back. I do believe the chicken biscuits may taste better, they definitely looked better!
First timer here, the Hash bowl was on point, did the trick. Kid had the chocolate chip waffles and she liked them alot. Was somewhat busy so took a bit longer to get our food but all tasted very good. Will definitely be back.
We hosted our work Christmas breakfast at Maple Street this year! The restaurant was able easily accommodate 26 of us. They don’t have a private room, but if you plan ahead and speak to one of the managers, they will restructure part of the restaurant to provide a semi-private space for your group. We had plenty of room for socializing and a gift exchange! The food was hot and fresh and we were served in a timely manner. We are planning on returning next year!
I ordered the chicken and waffles, Really liked that the waffles had bacon inside. The chicken was Krispy and had good flavor. The sausage and biscuits had great flavor. The jam was good and sweet. The potatoe bites were good. Had a good crunch on the outside.
