The Path of Tea is truly a hidden gem in Houston. From the moment I walked in, I was warmly greeted by Michelle, whose hospitality immediately set the tone for an incredible experience. Her knowledge of tea, its origins, and the stories behind each variety was truly second to none. What makes this place special is not just the tea itself, but the journey they take you on. Michelle shared beautiful insights about the traditions and cultures behind the teas, making the experience feel authentic and meaningful. The space itself is stunning, thoughtfully decorated with authentic pieces that transport you into the world of tea culture. Every detail adds to the atmosphere and makes the visit feel special. If you’re looking for a unique and memorable experience in Houston, The Path of Tea is absolutely the place to go. A true gem for tea lovers and anyone who appreciates culture, quality, and great storytelling.
Wonderful place and very kind, friendly staff who are willing to chat/do small talk within reason and answer questions. Always fairly priced for both pots to drink there and for tea leaves to take home. The “sniff bar” is a unique experience, and the tea is of high enough quality that it tastes exactly as it smells. I am never disappointed when I visit. The main area and bathroom is clean, and there are no odd smells. Above and beyond service. They let me try a small pot of the ceremonial matcha to see if I liked it and to exchange it for a different tea for free if I did not enjoy it; I ended up paying for both pots of my own choicd since I appreciate the gesture greatly. Snacks are good too. The “Japanese Crispie” is a good mix of sweet and savory, and the matcha cookie pairs nicely with the tea. The matcha cookie is very tasty but a bit “dry”; however, that dryness is a favorable point. The dryness helps to soak up the tea, and makes it a perfect complement since it does not get “mushy.” Would get all snacks I tried again. The cookie and tea never overpower one another. I will definitely visit again if I’m in the area.
