Crema's Take
“Albi Kitchen is a warmly-designed Eat Street gem that feels like stepping into someone's home, where the owner crafts both coffee and Somali pastries with genuine care and hospitality. Their signature Albi Tea and house-made sambusas with perfectly crispy, light dough have earned devoted fans, while the thoughtful service and beautiful plating make it an ideal spot for lingering meetings or family gatherings. This is specialty coffee drinking intertwined with authentic cultural warmth—the kind of place where you feel genuinely welcomed rather than simply served.”

Adorable spot. Clean. Fresh. Great service. Delicious. I don’t usually enjoy tea but that was so good. Owner makes food as though you are eating in her home. Albi means heart.
Fantastic addition to EAT STREET! The Albi Tea is a warm and lovely beverage for these cold winter mornings. This is a great spot to walk to especially from convention center and other nearby hotels for your caffeinate needs. The atmosphere and lighting is very cozy, quiet and welcoming. Great local business to support and bring an out of towner near downtown area or generally meet up for coffee at a swhether business or pleasure.
"This wonderful cafe in Minneapolis is one of the most beautiful spots to visit when you want to experience authentic Somali hospitality. You truly feel a sense of warmth and a family-like welcome here. The Somali flavors shine through every detail of the menu. I absolutely loved the experience; this cafe is truly special.
Absolutely a delight to visit this cafe. Went here for a meeting and the service, desserts, and drinks were amazing. The staff brought our order out on a cute tray. I had the Somali tea and the pistachio vanilla cake, both of which were very good. I can't wait to come back and try their savory foods and more of their desserts. I appreciate that Albi's is open late. We need more casual spaces that are open late that aren't a bar. Albi's is such a wonderful addition to our neighborhood
This place has some of the best sambusas I’ve ever tried. The dough was crispy and light, and didn’t feel oily at all. We loved the crepe, too! Can’t wait to come back to try some of their other desserts. The atmosphere was amazing, as was the service.
