Caffe Dello Sport
308 Hanover St, Boston, MA
Crema's Take
“Tucked in Boston's North End, Caffe Dello Sport fills a real gap in a neighborhood heavy on Italian restaurants but light on quality coffee spots. The cozy, inviting space with plenty of seating draws regulars who linger over espresso drinks and pastries, though the experience can be inconsistent—excellent service and creative pastry flavors sometimes clash with off days in coffee quality and cleanliness. It's the kind of neighborhood gem where you'll find locals having genuine conversations over hot chocolate and conversation, even if the execution doesn't always match the warm intentions.”

There is definite lack of coffee or cafè shops in Boston. I’m in the North side where there a hundreds of Italian Restaurants but very few coffee shops. Having said this, this place has excellent coffee and service. The staff serving are kind and considerate. Even though it doubles as a sport bar, they had lively Italian music on the background. For the few of us that want to sit down and drink their coffee rather than walk with it as most people do nowadays, I highly recommend it.
A great spot for a good hot chocolate, a nice pastry and conversation with friends. The atmosphere is cozy and inviting with plenty of spaces to sit and chat. Big menu with lots of drink and food options (including cocktails and gelato!)
The lady taking the orders was very rude and condescending. The iced cannoli latte looked very good but tasted terrible. Not sweet at all and no modifications allowed. The espresso was terrible. Don’t waste your money as I tossed the drink after the first taste. The tiramisu was in a prepackaged container and is not worth the cost. Recommend going to Starbucks as at least their coffee taste better
Okay so we loveeee this spot in our neighborhood but recently feel like cleanliness has gone downhill. Spilled my coffee and wiped it up…pretty gross. Also, mom’s there are no high chairs! Be prepared to wrestle your infant while you sip because letting them stand on the floor is also not an option.
Great service. Gave us extra whipped cream. Good coffee. Tiramisu was great the napoleon is not the usual type, so it was kinda eh flavor wise. Creme brûlée was very different, but at least good flavor and consistency. Overall, would do again for tiramisu.
