Tenfold Coffee

Tenfold Coffee is perfectly tucked right next to Discovery Green, just steps from the Hilton in downtown. The location alone makes it a great little stop if you’re out enjoying the park or walking around the area. Happy hour menu available M-F serving beer and wine They have a very clean, minimal aesthetic that feels calm and modern. The staff was extremely friendly and accommodating, which always makes a difference. Just a heads up, there’s a $1 upcharge for milk substitutes (they offer oat milk and pistachio) as well as for added flavoring. Overall, it’s a solid spot and I’d definitely come back again.

Tenfold is your typical modern coffee shop selling pastries and artisan coffees at a high price. The space itself is clean and next to Discovery Green making it accessible and cozy. Not a very easy place to park around though so keep that in mind. They feature a very straightforward menu and a decent variety of pastries and other food. Since we were on a road trip we stopped in to grab a quick bite and settled on their breakfast tacos. They are pretty overpriced at about $5 a taco and it’s pretty small, not a good value at all. The taco itself was decent though, a bacon, egg, and cheese one with a very good green hot sauce. If we weren’t so hungry we likely would’ve balked at the price but when in Rome. The interior is bright and welcoming and their bathrooms are nice and clean as well. Overall, this is more a quick, convenient spot than a go to we would say. Good for the neighborhood, but no reason to go there otherwise.

I ordered the afogato from Tenfold. First, the high price: around $10 with tip for a cup size of my palm (8 oz) which makes sense in Downtown but was really, realllly delicious. Extra points they do a great job keeping the bathroom nice and clean. The establishment gave off a cozy atmosphere. Just be sure to ask for prices before ordering because they dont have them displayed. Thank you!

10/10 would come back again!! My friend and I love to cafe hop and have yet to find a cafe that serves good, strong matcha, but this place does! I was genuinely surprised that it didn’t taste like straight oat milk or cereal milk, but rather, a pretty strong matcha flavor with a good amount of sweetness. I ordered the iced matcha latte with vanilla syrup while my friend ordered the same thing, but with simple syrup and would 100% recommend getting vanilla syrup (it was sooo good) + staff was very friendly and accommodating.

Who needs Starbucks when you’ve got Tenfold? This place is everything a modern coffee spot should be; bright, airy, and buzzing with good energy. I had my laptop to knock out some work. The design has that open, minimal vibe that makes you want to linger a little longer. The staff was quick on the draw with service and super friendly. The menu has a nice range of options, and while I didn’t go for a coffee this time, it was clear from the steady stream of locals and regulars that Tenfold has earned some serious street cred in Houston’s coffee scene. I went simple with a sparkling water and breakfast tacos, and it was exactly what I needed. Fresh, low key and satisfying Tenfold feels like the type of place you stumble into once and then suddenly find yourself coming back to every week. Solid work, Tenfold! you’ve carved out a cool little corner in downtown Houston.
