Dayglow

Crema's Take
“Dayglow is a serious specialty coffee destination that punches above its weight—regulars compare it favorably to top shops in New York and San Francisco, and the baristas clearly know their craft inside and out. Their espresso-focused menu showcases carefully sourced single origins like Promethium's Fruit Looper pour over, and they're equally inventive with signature drinks that approach coffee with a mixologist's creativity and precision. This is the kind of place that rewards coffee knowledge and curiosity, drawing people back repeatedly for both the exceptional quality and the genuinely welcoming vibe from behind the counter.”

This was my favorite coffee shop in the city. Super friendly baristas and incredible coffee! I had the Fruit Looper pour over from Promethium and it was outstanding! Can’t recommend this place enough.
great for people who know about coffee origins and like light roast specialty stuff with tasting notes. not so great for people who think matcha is inherently a sweetened latte. it’s expensive, more expensive than almost anywhere else nearby, but what isn’t expensive now. at least it’s high quality (and thankfully all of the maybe 5 barista i’ve seen here are each much nicer than the average high quality coffee shop). I’d rather spend $8 here than $6.75 somewhere else. for a neighborhood shop, i’m glad. i’m sandwiched between this and damn fine coffee, usually i pick this.
I’ve been to Dayglow a handful of times, and as someone who literally travels for good coffee, I’d put this place up against top shops in NYC, SF, or anywhere else. It’s right on the edge of Logan Square, and the quality here is consistently excellent. I’m not very adventurous with coffee, I usually stick to their batch brews and oat milk cappuccinos, but that’s exactly why this spot stands out. When a shop can absolutely nail the basics, you know they take their craft seriously. Every cup I’ve had has been clean, balanced, and really well made. Simple, high-quality coffee done right, every time.
This café actually reminds me of my favorite spot back home in Indy. The coffee is flavorful😋 So good that we ended up getting four coffees on both days we stopped by. We thought the bar where they prep everything has such a cool layout…simple, minimal, but super efficient.
I love the cocktail style approach Dayglow has to coffee. The beverages are just as delicious as they are unique. The inside is adorable as well. The key factor and appeal apart for them having delicious beverages and great co-working spaces is the proximity to the 606. There is no better combo than snagging an iced beverage with your dog and heading over to the 606 for a walk! Also your dog is allowed inside- so nice! Service is fast and efficient. It has definitely become a regular visit of mine.
