Crema's Take
“Barefoot Coffee Roasters has carved out a quiet reputation as North County's go-to destination for serious espresso and thoughtfully crafted drinks—from bold pour-overs to creative signatures like their praised lavender latte—where the quality genuinely invites you to linger rather than rush. The rustic, warm atmosphere right on Cedros draws regulars and newcomers alike to settle into either the generous indoor or breezy outdoor seating, making it equally suited for savoring coffee solo or catching up with friends over excellent food and drinks.”

Barefoot has quietly become one of my favorite spots in all of San Diego, and for good reason. The coffee is exceptional, the kind of quality that makes you slow down and actually savor it rather than just gulp it on the way out the door. There's a craft and consistency here that's hard to find. The staff is equally impressive. Genuinely warm and welcoming, they just make the whole experience feel easy and comfortable. The kind of place where you walk in a stranger and leave feeling like a regular. True to its name, Barefoot has a way of making you want to settle in, relax, and forget you have anywhere else to be. Which, frankly, is the highest compliment I can give a coffee shop. Highly recommend.
Excellent spot in Solana Beach, right on Main Street. There’s plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. Since I went on a weekend, the line to order was quite long, but because many people were ordering to go, I was still able to find a table. It’s a great place to study or work in Solana Beach, and the latte and bagel were both good as well.
I’ve been coming to Barefoot regularly since moving to North County from LA two years ago, and it’s easily my favorite coffee shop in Solana Beach. The coffee is strong and consistently great, and their toasts (sweet and spicy avo is a must try) are my go-to for breakfast — simple but always delicious. What really makes this place special is the staff. Everyone is so friendly and welcoming, and they’ve made an effort to get to know me by name, which truly makes it feel like a community spot. That’s a big part of why I keep coming back. The atmosphere is perfect for working, studying, or just hanging out. It’s dog-friendly, with both indoor and outdoor seating, and you’ll often see familiar neighborhood faces. Plus, it’s right on Cedros Avenue — a beautiful street with shops, restaurants, and just a short walk to the beach. Barefoot has such a good vibe all around — great people, great coffee, great location. A total gem!
Barefoot Coffee is a total gem right on Cedros - cool vibe, great people-watching, and even better drinks. The lavender latte and matcha were both on point and delicious. For breakfast, we had the avocado mash with egg and the breakfast tacos - both solid choices that hit the spot. Chill, tasty, and fun spot for a morning coffee and breakfast with family.
During a wet morning, we found ourselves enjoying a bold cup of coffee ☕ at Barefoot Coffee Roasters. The ambiance of Barefoot was rustic and warm, a delightful environment to enjoy conversations. In fact, many people were talking, while others worked on their laptops. Barefoot is dog friendly by offering outdoor seating. The arch crossing the road is a handy landmark to find the coffee shop. If you're in Solana Beach, then you may want to enjoy a moment at Barefoot Coffee Roasters. Personally, I look forward to my next cup of coffee at Barefoot.
