Good Citizen Coffee Co

Crema's Take

Good Citizen charges premium prices ($9+ for espresso drinks, $17 for two iced coffees) but consistently delivers poor quality—reviewers report acidic, ash-tray-flavored coffee served scalding hot from machines rather than hand-pulled, with inflexible sizing rules that force you into larger (more expensive) orders. The 2.5-star rating reflects genuine disappointment from repeat customers and travelers, not picky preferences, and there's little evidence in the reviews that the specialty drink menu or matcha offerings redeem the core coffee experience. Skip it unless you're desperately thirsty at the Embassy Suites and willing to overpay for something you likely won't enjoy.

Most expensive coffee I have ever bought and it is boiling hot. Came out of a machine instead of being made like I would expect a $9 espresso drink would be made. My disappointment is immeasurable and my day is ruined.

Acidic coffee.. not my thing.. can taste on the first sip. Should have seen the reviews, bought it coz we stayed at the Embassy Suites. Worse i ask for extra shot of espresso. Waste of my money. 16oz latte with no flavor. BAD COFFEE.

The worst tasting “coffee” I have ever had. I’ve lived all over the US, travel a lot and have also been to other countries. This coffee tastes like the smell of an ash tray. $17 for two iced coffees and we ended up putting in the trash.
