Crema's Take
“Brick Street Cafe is where comfort food becomes genuinely craveable—their tenderloin sandwiches and all-day breakfast draw devoted regulars who rave about plate-sized pancakes and crispy, perfectly-executed sides that somehow exceed expectations in a small Iowa town. The warm, accommodating staff makes gathering here feel like visiting friends, whether you're grabbing a quick coffee or settling in with a group, and everything from the breading on their fried items to their signature sidewinder fries suggests real care goes into each plate.”

Cafe food eh? Not your ordinary cafe food. Everything was just out of this world. Very pleasantly surprised. Can’t wait to go back and try other dishes. Imagine if this place was in Des Moines you’d have to wait 30 minutes for a table.
This tenderloin wrap is one of the best sandwiches I've ever had. Their website photo does it no justice so I took my own. Chock full of perfectly fried tenderloin. Balanced with the other stuff and ranch. Almost too big to eat but stops perfectly short of that. Tortilla is perfectly toasted. Add their potato chips and a 1919 root beer and you couldn't be happier. (Did I mention it's perfect?)
We’ve been for breakfast before and it was great. The pancakes are plate size! Ham was good. This time we had to have the tenderloin and onion rings which did not disappoint! Breading could use some additional seasonings but otherwise perfect. They’re now offering old fashioned mixed sodas and the root beer on tap is excellent. Well worth a visit. We would like to try more menu items as they all sound wonderful. Whenever we’re on that side of town we’ll stop in!
get the sidewinder fries if you like more potato-y fries or steak fries/wedges. I thought they were delicious 😋 10/10 (I don't have a picture because I ate them quickly) +picture update
Had lunch here with friends. We had a large group and staff, was quick to put tables together for us. They serve breakfast all day, which made one friend, happy. Our waitress was very nice and did a wonderful job. Food was very good came out hot. No one in your group had nothing but good replies when I asked how was their lunch. I had the chicken tender basket with onion rings. Chicken tenders were big and meaty. Onion rings were delicious too. Cafe was clean and staff was friendly and very helpful.
