Thinking Cup
165 Tremont St, Boston, MA
Crema's Take
“Thinking Cup is a beloved Boston institution that brilliantly balances quality coffee from Stumptown with an equally impressive bakery, earning consistent praise for both their phenomenal lattes and creative signature drinks like their standout strawberry-matcha blend. The space manages to be both a quick-grab destination and a cozy meeting spot, with a genuinely warm staff that keeps lines moving even on busy weekends, while the breakfast sandwiches and house-made pastries—think sweet potato walnut bread and perfectly executed breakfast burritos—rival the coffee itself. Located right across from Boston Commons, it's the kind of place visitors find themselves returning to every morning of their stay.”

Definitely gets busy on weekends but it moves quick. Staff is so incredibly nice! We were visiting Boston for the weekend and the baked goods, coffee, and breakfast sandwiches were all amazing. Massive bonus for GF!
Absolutely love this coffee spot. Great service and cute cozy place. The lattes are phenomenal and breakfast sandwiches. Highly recommend when in Boston. I went here every morning while my stay in Boston. Its the best coffee so far I've ever had
Great coffee and bakery in a great location, right across from the Boston commons. Stumptown is a great choice of coffee, it seems like they were using Holler Mtn and Hair Bender. Latte was great too, they don’t over do it on the syrup. Their baker product are really what make them stand out. They rotate coffee and bakery flavors often so you will never get board of this place.
Amazing matcha!! I walked in and the place and food is astonishing! I got the strawberry-matcha ‘under special drink’ and a slice of the sweet potato walnut bread. I had a hard time deciding what to get because it all looked so good, I will definitely be back soon!
Bakery Coffee Bar is an absolute gem! I stopped in for a quick bite and ended up having one of the best casual meals I’ve had in a long time. The breakfast burrito was incredible — perfectly toasted on the outside, stuffed with fluffy eggs, melty cheese, crispy bacon, and just the right amount of spice. Every bite was packed with flavor and cooked to perfection. To top it off, I ordered an iced latte and it did not disappoint. Smooth, rich espresso with a velvety finish, served over ice with just the right balance of milk — it was refreshing and strong, exactly how a proper iced latte should be. The vibe inside is cozy and welcoming, with friendly staff who clearly care about the quality of their food and drinks. Whether you’re grabbing breakfast on the go or hanging out for a while, Bakery Coffee Bar hits the mark. Highly recommend!
