Crema's Take

Nestled in a charming historic building in Arroyo Grande, this beloved local institution has earned fierce loyalty from regulars who describe it as feeling like family—the staff greets you like you belong, and that warmth extends to every cup and plate that leaves the kitchen. It's the kind of place that captures the soul of a tight-knit community, drawing both longtime devotees and travelers passing through who can't resist stopping for breakfast in that inviting old-world space with its modern aesthetic and welcoming patio.

We were driving through Arroyo Grande on our way to Cambria and we were glad we stopped here for breakfast. It’s in a great location in an old historic building, the food was excellent, and we made a friend with a local rooster.

This place just warms my soul! Feels like the last vestige of a strong community based country. I love the wonderful diverse regulars, the insanely gifted smart and hardworking staff, and being in a historic building that used to be a hotel. Cafes used to be the absolute pulse of a culture and community, and even in this modern era, this establishment has somehow maintained that crucial ideal.

Modern cute place. Staff were nice and outside patio atmosphere was great. We sat there cause we had our pup with us. People in town are friendly enough. The food was bland. We got the breakfast burrito and it needed more sausage and some salt. The pumpkin loaf was good but needed chocolate chips or nuts to make it great. Coffee was just ok. We got 2 of the holiday drinks - 1 no mods and 2nd half sweetener but then it didnt taste like anything. The other one ended up being too sweet so we mixed them and had the perfect drink.
