Crema's Take
“Tucked into a peaceful corner of the New People building, Best Boy Electric is a Japanese-inspired hidden gem where hand-whisked matcha and carefully crafted espresso drinks take center stage alongside excellent pork chashu sandwiches. The intimate space feels intentionally curated by the thoughtful team behind Neighbor's Corner and Dolores Outpost, with baristas who clearly care about both the quality of your drink and creating a serene atmosphere perfect for lingering with your laptop or a book.”

Lovely little cafe at the bottom of the New People building where C&C used to be. With the cold afternoon I was craving some hot tea and surrounded by boba or coffee as my options until I happened upon this shop. Quiet, delightfully brewed fresh green tea was what I came for and I was not disappointed. Will absolutely be back.
Best Boy Electric is a hidden gem. I hesitate to post this because I really enjoy the peaceful nature and the quality of this spot but I also want them to have a thriving business. Japanese inspired tea lattes and coffee made with quality intentional ingredients. Yummy artisan pastries with gluten free options like Mahleb cake and Third Culture mochi muffins. A lovely seating area with huge windows that let in warmth from the sun. Wonderful place to have a peaceful moment in the heart of Japantown. Baristas are kind too 🩵. Please please please don’t ruin it with business calls.
Meat little cafe with some tasty coffees and a few other options to choose from. I had the pork chashu sandwich and thought it was super tasty and pretty reasonably priced.
Really yummy hojicha! Super cute space with tote bags and they sell Matcha and other teas! They actually whisk their teas by hand and the staff is super friendly! They have free Wi-Fi and really nice bathrooms and a really great place to work :) love it here and I’m so glad I stumbled upon this place!!
What a cute cafe!! This is a cafe by the wonderful people of Neighbor’s Corner and Dolores Outpost, so you can expect a very nicely curated menu & great food and drinks. I had the espresso which was delicious and also the black sesame latte that was wonderfully nutty and toasty (and not too sweet). We can’t wait to be back!
