Crema's Take

This beloved bakery in Staunton has earned its stellar reputation through exceptional baked goods like rotating seasonal scones, focaccia, and their standout cruffins—especially the pumpkin cheesecake version that reviewers rave about—paired with thoughtfully prepared espresso drinks. The no-frills setup with minimal indoor seating but a genuinely warm staff creates an unpretentious vibe that keeps locals and travelers coming back, making it a Saturday morning ritual for many. It's the kind of place where the quality of what's in your cup and on your plate far outweighs any fancy ambiance.

I stopped by this city mainly to visit this bakery, but it wasn’t quite what I expected. There isn’t any seating inside, and the staff didn’t seem very friendly. The croissant and coffee were good, but nothing particularly special. Based on the photos and reviews, I expected a bit more.

We love to walk here on Saturday mornings and order the rotating flavors of scones, focaccia, and sometimes the ultimate treat: the cruffin. Without fail, you’ll always find something delicious and I love that they have a full coffee bar! An excellent bakery with super nice staff, the line moves fast and it’s worth it to wait!

I love this little bakery. I only visit when I’m traveling, but I visit every time I am close. Really well prepared baked goods, excellent coffee, and genuinely nice people. I don’t think much more needs to be said. Go get some pastry and brighten your day!

Reunion Bakery is pure cozy magic. The pumpkin cheesecake cruffin was straight-up perfection — flaky, creamy, and just the right amount of fall nostalgia without feeling basic. You bite in and it’s all layers of buttery pastry meeting that spiced pumpkin cheesecake filling — total masterpiece. The shelves are lined with gorgeous sourdough loaves that look like they belong in an art gallery. Every loaf feels like it has its own personality — rustic, tangy, beautiful. It’s one of those spots where you walk in for a pastry and walk out planning your next visit. Absolute must.

The vibe is pretty good, and the staff are also friendly. There’s not much indoor sitting but a few outdoor sitting. The focaccia bread is oily and hard, which I don’t recommend. The ice latte is okay. Their other bread options and pastries look nice, but we didn’t try it.
