The Yellow Mug

Coffee is the best in Crozet. The food is all pastries and bagels. The Mean Jean is my favorite coffee. It’s spicy 🌶️

This was my first visit to the Yellow Mug coffee shop. Recommended by a friend. Located in a refurbished home on Crozet avenue. It offered a gentle and open atmosphere, great service, and the pastries all looked great (from Albemarle Baking Company). The almond croissant was predictably delicious. I love the fact that all of the in-house mugs are yellow and not of the same design. Certainly added to their brand and the homey feel. The counter person was kind and attentive. The coffee was terrific and the barista was legit. Pricing was very reasonable. I enjoyed the morning there with friends and will go back.

Great coffee and great food. But the best part was the seating. They have a really nice place to sit outside. On a good sunny day, its quite pleasant. The inside seating js also nice, though few. Overall, the place is a cute little house.

Lovely coffee shop with all the things you want, great food, great seating both in and outdoors, lovely vibes and inviting bathrooms too. Overall, I had a lovely experience here and ate this incredible spinach quiche with a coconut macaroon, super tasty.

Super cute coffee shop with lots of local charm! I got a chai latte and pumpkin cupcake with cream cheese. Both were very sweet, and I didn’t really taste the spices in the latte. I would definitely come back to try other options. The outdoor space looks really nice too! Lots of parking in the back.
