Vail Mountain Coffee & Tea - Dumont
999 Co Rd 308, Vail, CO
Crema's Take
“Vail Mountain Coffee & Tea is a cozy mountain refuge where friendly baristas pull solid espresso drinks and handmade empanadas—particularly their standout sweet corn variety—though quality can be inconsistent and portions sometimes don't justify the pricing. The spacious, family-friendly spot shines as a welcoming pit stop for road-trippers and skiers passing through Dumont, with ample parking and that genuine small-town warmth that makes you want to linger over a matcha tea or pastry.”
What to expect
Strong matcha and tea selection. A slow-sit, quick-grab spot, good for meetings. Pastries and light food on the menu. Family friendly. Parking available.

This place is far more beautiful than one would expect on the side of the road! Vibe is amazing and matches the mountains the surround it to a T. Coffee and pastries were delicious, only topped by the kind and knowledgeable service—shoutout to Natalie and Taylor!
People were nice but food and coffee were so abysmal and overpriced, it can’t get more than 1 star. Would you pay 12$ for this tortilla? It reminded me of the 1$ frozen burritos I had in college. I don’t like to give bad reviews but I picked this place because of the 4.8 stars.…
The empanadas were 8 dollars and mine had a paltry amount of filling and the dough was so crispy it fell apart in my hand. My friend describes his as a pizza roll that was only slightly larger than tostinos. The coffee was acceptable (got a drip coffee). The service was great.…
We've driven by this spot for years and never stopped-that was a mistake! The baristas were friendly, the coffee was great and the empanadas were amazing (the sweet corn was my favorite). Such a cozy atmosphere for a shop first off the highway!
Great coffee and treats the carne empanada and the croissants were delicious I forgot to take a picture. And great service, very nice people and cozy atmosphere
Staff is very friendly and welcoming. It is a perfect place to stop for a break from driving. Oh, large parking, so don't be afraid to bring in your moving vans or RV trailers. While you are here, look for the hidden lost toys. Big Red Dog watched us eat.
