Crema's Take
“Stepping into MarieBelle feels like entering a jewel box devoted entirely to chocolate—this is a serious cocoa destination where the Aztec-style hot chocolate (offered in dark, milk, and spiced varieties) is nothing short of non-negotiable, with drinks made from 66-68% real chocolate that justify the premium price. The intimate, reservation-required experience is enhanced by genuinely knowledgeable staff like Johnny who guide you through their creative chocolate offerings, and the cafe rewards lingering with thoughtful touches like complimentary cocoa samples and pastry pairings in a space that feels both elegant and inviting.”

I must say the experience was amazing here . Johnny the trouble maker was knowledgeable about chocolate and gave recommendations on what to order . Most of the chocolate drinks are 66% -68% of real cacao . Did you know that they import chocolate from Honduras , Columbia and Ecuador .The dark chocolate drink I ordered wasn’t sweet but the whipped cream balanced the flavor . You can definitely taste the richness of the cacao. We ordered the chocolate lava cake . The richness of the chocolate dessert went well with the vanilla cream and strawberries, the flavors complemented well with each other . I’m going to come here again with my mother next time .
Tried the small Aztec hot chocolate, flavor was good, though $8 for a small cup feels a bit pricey. Dine-in requires a reservation. The store itself is very cute, they sell a nice variety of chocolates, and the staff friendly. Would like to come back and try other hot chocolate flavors.
If you love chocolate, you have to try MarieBelle’s hot chocolate. Non-negotiable! Offered in three flavors: dark, milk and the spiced hot chocolate. The hot flavor has the perfect kick, just the right amount of spice to keep things exciting, not too strong, not too weak. 😚 You will need to make a reservation at least a month or two in advance, if you’d like to have a seated experience in their salon. The shop itself is a confection in its own right, like a chocolate truffle: shiny, beautifully adorned, indulging and absolutely unforgettable. You won’t regret the visit! 💝
This wasn't my first time visiting this delightful cafe. It's a kingdom of chocolate and cocoa! You feel like you're inside a jewel box. A friendly waiter immediately brings you a tiny glass of cocoa, which you can sample while you read the menu. Everything was delicious – the cocoa, the quiche, and the pastries. The waiters are very polite and efficient. You can buy chocolate and candies in the front part of the establishment.
Such a lovely spot! I had their Aztec-style hot chocolate, and it was absolutely delicious — rich, smooth, and comforting. The service is sincere and kind, and I really appreciate that they let you take your time to enjoy without any rush or pressure to leave. The decor is classy and elegant, especially during the Christmas season — so festive and cozy! I came here solo and felt completely comfortable and relaxed. A perfect place to unwind in SoHo.
