Crema's Take
“Almanac Coffee pulls exceptional shots with the precision that earns respect from serious espresso enthusiasts—their cortados and dirty chais showcase thoughtfully roasted beans that don't need masking milk to shine. This isn't just a caffeine stop; it's a curated gathering spot where local artist pottery and gifts share shelf space with their carefully sourced roasts, creating an eclectic, inviting atmosphere that feels as intentional as their pour overs. Whether you're ordering a traditional espresso or settling in for a slow sit, you're tasting the work of roasters who genuinely know their craft.”

I have tried a couple different roasters in Duluth so far. Just tried out Almanac and have been loving their beans. I got the Honduras beans. I will definitely be going back. They have been pulling beautiful espresso shots!
We live in Massachusetts so we don't get to visit in person to experience the atmosphere, but Almanac Coffee has the best coffee and it shows up in our mailbox right away. And being a subscriber the coffee arrival day is a cause for rejoicing each month!
We liked them so much that we changed over ALL of our blends to using Almanac Coffee for our Café. Seriously, Almanac Coffee is hands down one of the BEST tasting roasters around and actually know what they are doing. Our customers immediately noticed the difference and we became an absolute hit with our customers visiting from Europe for having "the only real coffee," they'd had since coming to the states. If looking for THE best coffee for home or business, ignore the other places, hit up Almanac for sure!
My litmus test for any coffee shop is a cortado (Gibraltar). I think it is easy to cover up a poor espresso shot with lots of milk and sweetener. But the equal ratio of milk to espresso really helps the espresso shine and the one I had here was fantastic! The beans we picked up for home were excellent as well. Highly recommend.
Best dirty chi of my life!!! The spices were rich and the coffee was high quality and perfectly well roasted. The gifts, artwork and pottery feature many local artists and feature an eclectic array of local beauty. The atmosphere was pleasant and the staff a joy. Will come again.
