Crema's Take

Pan & Roots feels like the kind of place where the baristas actually remember your name, tucked into Grand Forks with a genuine commitment to craft coffee and a welcoming vibe that keeps locals coming back. The shop manages that rare balance of being both a serious about their beans and refreshingly unpretentious, making it the kind of independent spot that becomes part of your routine rather than just a caffeine pit stop. Whether you're settling in with a pour-over or grabbing a quick cappuccino, there's a real sense of care in every cup.

Wonderful addition to the Grand Forks food scene. Not a fast food place, but a food place where it's done right. Latin inspired menu that's very pleasing. Tried the Double Roots Special sandwich, kind of a cross between a panini and a Cuban sandwich, but not in taste. Very good…

Really delicious cakes! We tried the Tres Leches, Bruce’s cake, and Quesillo - all were so good. The espresso is also great and came with a small sweet bread! Highly recommend!

Coffee tasted like milk, not coffee. Looked so good so we had high hopes! Also, no decaf coffee options which is really unfortunate.
