Crema's Take
“Ellie's is a genuine neighborhood gem where baristas remember you're a student and the coffee comes in generous cups with free refills, making it feel less like a transaction and more like a gathering spot. The marble tables, full-length windows that open to the street, and thoughtfully curated menu of fresh breakfast sandwiches and pastries create the kind of cozy, unhurried space where you actually want to linger with your laptop or friends. Whether you're catching live music on Saturday nights or just seeking refuge on a cold morning, there's a warmth here that goes beyond the espresso machine.”

Popped in for a wine tasting at their Saturday night wine bar. It was easy to walk in and get a table for 4. There was a live band. This was a great stop for girl's night. The mussels were served chilled, which was unexpected, but they were tasty.
Came to Providence for a conference, and went back twice for coffee. The barista the first time heard I was a student and offered me a student discount yay! As for the products, I've been a barista for about 6 years and this is one of the best coffee shops I've ever been too. The lattes are very well crafted, and the baked goods are phenomenal. And they have accessible hours!
On a cold morning it was a nice place to stop in for breakfast. Limited, but interesting menu. Fresh food, coffee (free refills) comes in large cups. Beautiful marble tables and WiFi too. Looks like a good local hang out…got crowded. Nice background music.
Great experience at Ellie’s a nice cozy cafe in the downtown Providence area. The staff was very friendly and helpful during our visit. The coffee was good and had a tasty breakfast sandwich and delicious pastry. The rest of the menu and pastries also looked great. The cafe was clean, bright, well decorated, and had plenty of seating. Would definitely recommend to a friend or return in my next trip to Providence.
This place was a gem and easily the best place I dined during my visit to RI. The staff was extremely friendly, helpful, and fast. The windows for the whole place opened to the outside to let in the beautiful fall weather. Lastly the food was delish! We also shared a table with another couple and this led to lovely conversation!
