Crema's Take

High Low masterfully bridges eras with a thoughtfully restored space that feels simultaneously rooted in St. Louis history and refreshingly contemporary, creating an atmosphere that invites you to linger. Their espresso work is notably skilled, pulling shots with real precision that shine in classic drinks like lattes, while creative house-made syrups like orange cardamom elevate their specialty offerings beyond the ordinary cafe standard.

High Low is a place where old world character meets 2025 design; history blended with today’s beauty and elegance. The space is clean and new, yet feels rooted, with a kind of timeless charm. The baristas are first-rate, the Blueprint coffee is excellent, and the music is always set at just the right volume. I like to get there early, before the laptop crowd shows up, when it feels calm and unhurried. If they opened at seven instead of eight, I’d be there every day.

Pit stop on my road trip. Easy to find - parking is limited but right in front of the shop. I had an iced vanilla matcha - solid 8/10. It needed a bit more whisking, still had some clumps, but the flavor was good. Inside had a mix of seating - a few larger tables that could work for getting things done, and a couch area. Overall, a solid coffee shop.

What an amazing vibe here. Some perks… 1. Coffee is good. We had latte. Ask for sugar if you need. But it’s good even without sugar. 2. The vibe and atmosphere is really good. They can accommodate like around 30 people considering they have few outside tables too. 3. They have bakery items too. 4. Both BluePrint coffee and High Low in same building like combined.

Great craft coffee shop! They have more interesting drinks, and more advanced skill at pulling quality espresso, than your typical local cafe, and the seating was generous - I wish I could have stayed longer. The massive windows let in a lot of light, making it feel very open and spacious. Friendly staff too :-)

Cool spot for a coffee or bite to eat. They have a nice selection of specialty roasts and the house made orange cardamom flavor was on point. They have a nice selection of sweet treats too. There are plenty of desks if you need space to work. The staff was very nice and even brought me my drink after I went to sit down.
