Crema's Take
“Rendez Vous is a genuine French bakery gem where the owner's passion for quality pastries shines through in every croissant and brûlée latte, with reviewers consistently raving about standout almond croissants that rival those found in Paris itself. While service can be inconsistent, the warm staff and inviting atmosphere make it worth a visit for anyone seeking authentic French-style baked goods and a cozy gathering spot in Newport Beach. The café captures that special European café feeling where the quality of the baking matters more than slick operations, drawing loyal fans who keep coming back for the soul of the place.”

Was in Newport Beach a couple of weeks ago and stumbled on this bakery. My boyfriend and I went in and found amazing pastries and a nice lunch. The owner was up front and her and the staff were so helpful. Had to take some to go on our way out of Newport. Look forward to going back.
The services sucks here. The pastries are good. The sandwiches are not made to order. Multiple mistakes. Location is great but the faded silk flowers and service has me saying 'No Thank you' for now on. Eat at your own risk. Butter on a Club Sandwich? Gross.
Our eyes opened wide as our eyes feasted on the delectable array of baked goods. We got to meet the owner and experience the friendliness of the staff. An outstanding almond croissant, best we’ve had.
Very nice brûlée latte, it’s always my favorite coffee, and the meals are all yummy ! I tried many brunches and they were all great! It’s a good place for friends’ gathering, family reunion, or after dog-walking! This place is just next to a dog park.
My wife had a small brunch at her office, and someone brought croissants from this place. Since we had just gotten back from Paris, she knew I was still on the hunt for a good croissant and coffee. She brought one home for me—and wow, the first bite instantly transported me back to Paris. So, on my next day off, we headed down for breakfast. Naturally, I had to have another croissant, but I also couldn’t resist trying their Le Parisien sandwich—which reminded me so much of a favorite spot in Paris. We indulged in a few pastries, and of course, I brought home some fresh bread. This little gem in Corona del Mar was such a pleasant surprise. We’ve since shared it with several friends who’ve also been to Paris, and they all agree: for a brief moment, it truly feels like you’re back at a Parisian bistro—complete with French music. Just a heads-up: this place can get busy. Once they run out of fresh baked goods, that’s it for the day. Seating is limited both inside and on the patio, and it’s all first-come, first-served. Parking is street-only, so plan accordingly.
