I'd been to the other Savaya location in central Tucson, and many times, so enjoyed checking out this more northern location. I appreciated the gentle welcome and kind service, the decor was nice; it's a very chill and relaxed vibe. I was, however, disappointed in the actual coffee, something that never happened at the other location. It was so horribly bitter that no amount of ⅐ & ½ and sweetener could reject that bitterness. I didn't ask for another cup as a friend had bought it and I just felt at the time that I didn't want to make a big deal out if it. I learned that I won't do that again as it was really so bitter that I didn't drink it! A waste of my coffee at a coffee date! (They agreed that it was really bitter, but didn't seem to mind it.) I think it was just a one-off bad brew, and I'll definitely speak up if it happens again. Especially at the prices they charge (which honestly, I find a bit high for coffee). I'd still highly recommend going, as it's a lovely little place and I'm sure other items are as delicious as the central location!
Outstanding coffee! Whether you are visiting Tucson or a local, a must try. Alex, thanks for your kindness! You are doing a great job making coffee drinks & welcoming each person who walks through the door. We look forward to seeing you again. Cheers!☕️🌵
Quaint coffee shop. Hard to know it’s even there. I was searching for coffee shops and found this one. Service was fast with a kind barista. Coffee was excellent. This coffee shop offers indoor and outdoor seating. Great place to sit alone in a quiet and peaceful setting or enjoy coffee and conversation with friends.
Hidden gem of Tucson! Apparently they were voted like #3 coffee shop in the US? And I believe that. Delicious cold brew with a splash of eggnog. Super sweet and attentive barista. Very comfortable seats inside and outside. And the art on the walls and the doors!!
Savaya, save me from a caffeine withdrawal! After a unintentional long hike at Honey Bee Canyon Park, Emily and I needed some caffeine to recharge our batteries for a long day of exploring and hanging out in Oro Valley. I had a list of coffeehouses to visit and this one was on the way back to her parents. Perfect. I wanted my usual Americano since I didn’t want anything sweet after a long hike but also grabbed a biscotti stick to snack on while we waited. Emily got a flavored cold brew for her caffeine fix. We took a seat, waited, and started cooling off. The barista was extremely nice and helped Emily pick out her flavors for her cold brew. It took a few minutes to get our drinks and then we sat there a few more minutes, sipping on our drinks and finally feeling less sweaty. My Americano was really good. It hit really close to what I love in them. Emily absolutely loved her drink and would mention it for the next few days that it was her most favorite cold brew she’s ever had. The biscotti was really good but I definitely needed the hot coffee to dunk it into… which an iced Americano is not. Lastly, I want to talk about the price. For our two drinks and biscotti stick, it was around $11. That’s a crazy good deal for what we got. I was expecting the tab to be closer to $15. Sometimes sticker shock can go in the positive direction. Savaya… you set a good standard for getting coffee in Oro Valley.
