We loved this authentic Mexican food in a beautiful yet relaxed establishment. It's one of my friends' favorite places, and I can see why. The mole (they have 3 kinds) was delicious. The guacamole and fajitas were on point, and the salsas were addictive. I'm bringing a gallon bucket to fill up next time! It's great for a date or business meal: not formal dining, but several notches above your corner taco shop. Highly recommend!
Damn I love this place. Hectic day. Racing around town. Meeting after meeting. Drop wife off at LBC airport. Get to Lola's and breathe. Something about the vibe makes you relaxed knowing you are about to have an epic meal. Tonight was no different. I've had everything on the regular menu so now I default to the specials. Pork shank and green mole it is... This is like a caveman meal. Epic portions and flavors to match. Not sure what's in the green mole but I'm guessing it's magic combined with love. That first bite was a sigh from deep within. Almost like a hug from mom. Wrap it up in a flower tortilla and go to town. Highly recommend with your favorite cocktail
Great food and service. I got the Mole enchiladas, sooo good. I will definitely be back for Happy Hour!
Went for Taco Tuesday but came too early because it starts at 6p. So got the happy hour menu instead. The drinks were solid but the food was a bit disappointing. Chips & salsa were good & complimentary. I ordered strictly from the happy hour menu & got chicken molè nachos & it tasted like a Lunchables pizza sauce packet. My first order came out & it had no chicken whatsoever so I sent it back & it came out again with just enough chicken to look like sprinkled confetti on top. Ordered the Mexican street corn & I would NOT recommend. More like cream(ed) corn with barely any corn in this milky sauce. I was expecting elotè on a stick or in a cup. So i was done with food but kept drinking because the drinks were on point.
Really excellent and reasonably priced Mexican food in a quaint location that seems like a former diner. The bar and happy our offering looked appealing but the server didn't make mention of the happy hour when we were seated just before 6 so we missed it. I can't wait to go try some other items here!
