Sesame Dinette
1750 Pacific Ave, Long Beach, CA
Crema's Take
“Sesame Dinette is a cozy Vietnamese-inspired spot tucked away in Wrigley that punches way above its weight with thoughtfully crafted dishes like their standout Pho French Dip and perfectly balanced broths that never overpower. The owners have created an unexpectedly welcoming atmosphere in tight quarters—the kind of place where regulars return again and again because the food tastes like care, whether you're nursing a hangover with their restorative pho or lingering over lunch with a friend. It's the definition of a hidden gem: limited seating means you'll want to get there early, but once you do, you'll understand why this little dinette has earned such devoted fans.”

Woke up hung over af and had cravings for some soup. Found this gem through a friend and I lucked out bc I was craving chicken pho, my favorite. Have to say it's my first time in this area (Wrigley Village) but it's nice to know there are still cozy corner stores serving up small specialized menu items. P.S Compliments to the chef for the wonderful bowl of goodness and s/o to my server Nick for being awesome! Definitely will be back to try their other items like their banh mi (that pho French dip sounds🔥🔥)
I got the ROASTED PORK NOODLES (mì khô) and VEGAN SUMMER ROLL (tofu). Both very delicious. The side of house broth was perfect - not too salty, sweet nor strong.
Great lil hole in the wall spot. Limited seating & parking. But, the food was very flavorful and tasty.
New favorite spot for lunch! Great atmosphere, friendly owners and the food… is just amazing 🙌🏽 I love everything! the chicken pho and pho French dip are my top choices but they just added a curry dish with Persian bread that is too good for words✨ They have plants in cool pots for sale also. I came home with a new house plant. Yay! 🪴
My boyfriend and I have been to Sesame Dinette many times, and it’s truly one of our favorite spots. It’s a hidden gem—really cute inside with a cozy, welcoming atmosphere. The Pho French Dip is absolutely amazing, and the Brisket Pho is just as incredible. The broth is what really sets it apart—deeply flavorful, rich, and truly something special. You can tell a lot of care goes into it. A big reason we keep coming back is Mike. He’s so kind, attentive, and genuinely great at building connections with customers. It’s rare to find a place where both the food and the people make you feel so at home. Highly recommend!
