Little King Coffee
1801 E Cabrillo Blvd, Santa Barbara, CA
Crema's Take
“Little King Coffee has become a beloved neighborhood gathering spot in Santa Barbara, distinguished by its genuinely excellent matcha program where they properly whisk each drink with a traditional chasen for that bright, vibrant result that most local cafes skip over. The spacious outdoor seating and ample parking make it an inviting place to linger with friends or soak in the California sunshine, though the small interior tables work better for casual meet-ups than serious work sessions. While the coffee and food (like their praised biscuit egg sandwiches) are solid and the vibe is warm, consistency with staff friendliness seems to vary.”

Great new coffee addition to a place I haven't seen this popular in quite some years. Plenty of parking and a cozy scenic atmosphere.
The food was tasty, the biscuit egg sandwich was great. However, the staff were immature. I should not be made fun of for wanting to drink my coffee in a regular cup instead of a to-go cup. I simply wanted to enjoy my coffee, not drink it from a paper cup. In the past, it was served in a glass cup, and I shouldn’t be mocked for preferring that.
Best matcha in all of Santa Barbara. They actually whisk the matcha with a chasen, unlike a lot of the matcha cafes I’ve tried here, and the color is bright and vibrant green like it should be!
Very nice addition to SB coffee scene. Plenty of parking, friendly staff, good food and coffee drinks. Wish they had opted for a better oat milk, not the same one most all the shops use as it tends towards an unpleasant aftertaste and has questionable additions. I've been told the brand of oat milk is widely used in the SB area for it foam quality, not so much for its purity or its taste. Likewise, although I loved the food offerings I'd like too see more flavourful farm or local grown, rather than more bland or insipid produce such as the avocado slices and other produce. Love their bread and offering something a bit different. However the issues I mentioned will keep me from returning more often but overall a pleasant coffee shop and nice location.
Really cute coffee shop. Small tables inside so not ideal as a workspace. Great atmosphere for sitting outside and enjoying the time and sunshine.
