Old Crown

Crema's Take
“Old Crown has earned its place as a North Side institution by nailing the fundamentals with genuine warmth—their espresso drinks are consistently smooth and well-crafted, and they've built a loyal following around quality beans you can take home to brew yourself. Beyond coffee, they've expanded into specialty tea like their celebrated Iron Goddess of Mercy Oolong, creating a relaxed, spacious hangout where you can linger with a laptop or friends without feeling rushed.”

Old crown is a staple in the 46805 & North Anthony Corridor / East State Village / Northside Neighborhood. Friendly staff, great bulk coffee bean options to take home, plenty of space & tables to enjoy a cafe and work. Bar top service is nice as well If you're into having an adult beverage! Thanks for being around for many years and if you've never been we highly recommend you check Old Crown Coffee Roasters out. Great location! Don't forget about the hidden tucked away pin ball machine room in the back. They offer dining options as well, I'd always check the socials to see current offerings and availabilities.
There are many great coffee choices in the fort but Old Crown is the best of them. Consistently amazing product and always genuinely kind service. Most of my trips are buying ground beans to brew myself but also enjoy stopping in to enjoy the atmosphere, play pinball, and sometimes throw back an alcoholic beverage!
Friendly & chill place. Never had any of the food but I get coffee every now and then and I love it. (Honestly, better quality than starbucks in my opinion) A couple of my friends order different types of beer which they seem to enjoy. Customer service is always amazing. They also change the art they hang every once in a while, which appears to be done local artists. As a fellow artist, I appreciate this! There is also a space to play pinball in the back. Great place, 100% recommend.
I walked out today with 3oz of the Iron Goddess of Mercy Oolong, and I’m blown away. I heated up my gaiwan, shook the dry leaves, and the toastiness immediately took over the room—the first mark of a great tea. After the rinse, the scent got even stronger. The first cup was divine. As I kept brewing, the floral notes came through and... honestly, there aren't words strong enough to describe how wonderful this tea is. I got 8 solid steeps out of just 5 grams, which is insane quality. The natural sweetness, floral aftertaste, and toasty foreground make for one of the best teas I have ever had. I’d give 6 stars if it were possible.
Old Crown was just what I look for in a cafe. It had some interesting decor and a nice atmosphere, and the staff seemed friendly. The latte I ordered was delicious and smooth, and I had no complaints. This is definitely one of the better cafes in Fort Wayne, at least in my opinion.
