Ten40 Cafe

I want to give this place more stars but the two times I've been in (both on Friday mornings) the wait time hasn't been great. First time I came in, waited 20 min, the most recent, 30 min! Only reason this seems to be the issue is the poor woman working by herself during what seems to be a a busy time. It looks like she has to make the coffee, stop to take orders, and make food. So when 5 people are ahead of you it becomes a long wait. Coffee and food are both great. Service is kind and welcoming they just seem short handed. Good spot if you don't have any time restraints. Not exactly a great place if you're looking to grab a cup of coffee on your way into work.

I mean no disrespect when I say this is the worst coffee I have ever tasted in my life. And it wasn’t just mine, it was my whole family’s. We ordered 3 caramel macchiatos hot, 2 iced lattes , one hot latte, and 3 food items. Our coffees did NOT taste like coffee in the least, they were a mix of water and really sweet and cheap syrup. They had an absurd amount of syrup which tasted really artificial. Everyone else in the shop had their coffee in dine in mugs and we got ours in paper cups even though we ordered for dining in. Unfortunately we had to throw away our order which was a shame because it was all pretty pricey. I really hope they can improved for the sake of future paying customers.

Today was my first time trying them, after being a Georgetown resident for some time. The atmosphere was so comforting and the staff were so inviting. I ordered a Large Caramel Frappe and the Apple Cinnamon Muffin...AMAZING! It was blended so well, and my Barista was so nice. Genuinely a wonderful experience. Please stop in and try it. You won't regret it. ✨️

Ten40 Cafe (formerly Glo's Coffee) has been a special part of The POE Movement from the very beginning. The atmosphere is warm, the food and coffee are always delicious, and the staff is incredibly friendly. It truly feels like home and has played a big role in POE’s growth. 💜

A great cafe with very friendly staff and a warm, comfortable vibe. I ordered a hot London Fog tea and breakfast croissant sandwich, both of which were amazing. There are plenty of seats (both inside and out), and a great menu of drinks and breakfast/brunch food. Their pastries also looked so delicious, I definitely need to come back!
