Summer Moon Coffee

"Moon Shaker" shaken espresso is very good. Albeit a TAD bitter aftertaste. The moon milk basically makes it taste like what an affogato tastes like after the ice cream has melted. Cool interior and very friendly staff, and fast service.

On our first visit, we were impressed with the coffee flavors. As avid coffee lovers, we enjoy visiting unique coffee shops. We ordered the Summer Moon Latte and Chestnut Praline Latte (hot). We both enjoyed the taste and flavor of the coffee, which surpassed Starbucks. It was amazing and not excessively sweet. Additionally, we ordered a Cake donut and a Cinnamon Apple Greek Yogurt, the yogurt had a fresh taste with a generous cinnamon flavor. Hopefully, you will consider opening a location in Houston in the future.

Excellent coffee and Gluten free baked goods. Had the oat milk latte and the coffee was of high quality and the donut was a nice accompaniment. If in the area, this would be my go-to coffee place.

I travel a ton and I’ve been to a LOT of coffee shops, this place is truly unique, the vibe is about what you see everywhere, staff is nice enough….but the oak roasted coffee at summer moon is incredible. I don’t know if it’s the moon milk, or the roasting process itself, but I’ve had other oak roasted coffee and this stuff is special. I will 100% be back and asap. I don’t think I’ll be getting coffee anywhere else in Austin for the foreseeable future.

My home coffee bar, where I play mad scientist with beans and brews, now worships Summer Moon’s Velvet Blaze Oak Roasted whole bean. Oak flavor’s my jam—give me oak-smoked brisket, oak-aged whiskey, heck, oak-roasted socks, and I’m sold. This coffee’s a classic, like a smoky campfire in a cup. My wife’s hooked on their Moon Milk, a creamy wizardry that makes her latte taste like it was kissed by unicorns. The baristas? They’re not just slinging drinks—they’re coffee therapists, ensuring every cup’s a hug in liquid form. The vibe’s cozy, like your favorite broken-in boots, and the service is so spot-on it’s like they read your coffee mind. Every Summer Moon I’ve hit nails this, but the 1st Street original? It’s the oak-roasted cherry on top. My only regret: not ordering a second latte to chug in the parking lot.
