NMSU Bookstore
New Mexico State University, Las Cruces, NM
Crema's Take
“Tucked right off the NMSU campus, this two-story bookstore doubles as a casual coffee spot where students and visitors can settle in with a laptop and a traditional brew while browsing shelves that rival bigger chain bookstores in town. The downstairs café setup makes it an easy grab-and-go destination with genuine, helpful staff, though the higher prices and occasional long morning lines are worth knowing about before you visit. It's a genuinely impressive space with a beautiful layout that captures that laid-back college bookstore vibe—just remember to have your Aggie ID handy if you're part of the NMSU community.”

Prices are higher than everywhere else. On top of that if the book is NMSU Bookstore only they WILL sell out, leaving you without books for at least two weeks, a month in my case. Sometimes their pnly alternative is to buy some other stupid bundle with stuff you dont need for hundreds of more dollars.
Polite, helpful customer service; lines can be long even in the mornings but that's not in their control. Make sure you have your Aggie I.D.!
I still consider this place Barnes and Noble but it’s cool. It’s one of the only two story stores in Las Cruces. It’s not as nice as the Barnes and Noble at the mall (mainly because this store is more focused on textbooks) but still cool.
I had to order and pick up a required workbook here for a class. It's an impressive store! The "bookstore" part is mainly upstairs, though when I went, most of it was blocked off. Downstairs has the coffee shop, apparel, bunch of things with NMSU logos on them, etc. It also had pens, pencils, scantrons, folders, calenders, and the like for sale. Most of it was reasonably priced. However, I couldn't believe they were charging almost 7 dollars for a pack of loose leaf paper (I double-checked). I probably somehow missed that this paper was blessed by Chappelle Roan or something.
Beautiful set up. Easy spot to get to right off of University.
