Pete's Restaurant & Coffee Shop

This is a nice little diner in downtown Knoxville. I've walked/driven past it many times without ever noticing it. I stopped in here with some family (group of 5) and I was impressed with the food and the people who work there are so friendly. I'd recommend the smokehouse burger (that's what I ordered and requested it be cooked medium) and it was cooked to perfection. Would recommend this diner for sure.

A charming diner located in downtown Knoxville offers delectable breakfast and lunch options. Notably, the establishment serves exceptional home-fried potatoes, which are unique and of high quality. The biscuits and gravy are also noteworthy, as they are not overly salty, and they are complemented by excellent coffee. The diner’s breakfast and lunch menu provides excellent value for money.

Pete’s is a relaxed, homey spot that feels welcoming the moment you walk in. The breakfast portions are huge, and I mean unexpectedly huge. We ordered the chocolate chip pancakes, and they were massive but still tasted great. Adding butter on top made them even better. The eggs were flavorful, and the sausage was solid as well. Overall, it’s warm, filling comfort food, and definitely worth a stop. I’ll be back for sure.

I’ve passed by this little diner so many times when I go downtown. I’ve always wanted to try it! I finally got the chance on a Monday morning around 10:30am. The utk students are still away on break so it wasn’t busy at all! We were allowed to choose our seating, but greeted promptly by our waitress. She was so sweet, and had a great southern charm. Our food came out quick and was hot and delicious. I ordered the southern breakfast, and it was just what I needed after a morning hike! I’m so glad a gem like this place is around:)

Great vibe at this local spot... it was super busy Sunday morning, but the staff was in Sync and always kept smiling. Shout out o Holly in the front, that was sitting customers, waiting at the counter and wiping tables down. Plus the food was delicious.
