Café Alma

Crema's Take
“Tucked away in Cincinnati, this café strikes an enviable balance between serious coffee craft and unpretentious charm, where you can linger over a carefully made specialty drink without feeling rushed. The kitchen shines just as bright as the espresso machine—think made-to-order omelets and waffles that surprise regulars, paired with thoughtful vegetarian options that feel just as satisfying as anything else on the menu. It's the kind of place where the hardest part of your visit is choosing between too many genuinely good things.”

We went there for the first time Saturday andAs someone who eats a lot of meat and enjoys to have meat with my I found this menu had wonderful and sufficient offerings that made me not even think about that. The service was fantastic, staff was friendly, timely and light hearted. I got the French toast grilled cheese with maple syrup and honestly would eat it every day if given the chance. They said it would keep you coming back for more, and they were not wrong. Side of sweet potatoes were cooked well and perfectly seasoned I also got the mint mocha martini and while I'm not a huge martini guy if it tastes like a hot chocolate I'm in.
This is such a unique place! My friend and I had breakfast here a little bit ago and it was so good! I have never had a tea or waffles like these but wow! The *only* thing that is hard about this place is the parking. I'm unfamiliar with the area since I dont live there so I dont know if people normally park on the street somewhere but there is only one driveway to get in and out which makes it challenging for people to come and go, especially with snow. But don't let that deter you! The food and drinks are absolutely worth it!
I had heard such amazing things and finally got to try it out with some friends this weekend! My only complaint is all of the amazing options to choose from, it was so hard to decide! My husband had the shakshuka which was extremely flavorful and hearty, exactly what he wanted. I opted for the sun dried bagel eggs Benedict and YUM I don’t think I’ve ever had a more delicious eggs Benedict! The mushrooms were the perfect touch and the side of sweet potatoes paired so well! Our friend ordered the tahini chocolate chip pancakes and those were insane too! The mimosas were delicious with fresh squeezed orange juice and the perfect ratio! My friends raved about the coffee as well! Will definitely come back so I can devour the rest of the menu!
Café Alma offers a variety of different food/beverage options. Personally, I went with the “Nutella Iced Latte” to drink, and “Make Your Own Omelette” to eat which allows you to choose 3 toppings. I chose Mozzarella, Red Peppers, and Spinach. This meal came with a Challah Roll and butter, and one side. For the side I went with the “Single French Toast”. For starters I must applaud this Café for the excellent service. Every employee I spoke to was very kind. The first item I received was the Nutella Iced Latte. It had a rich latte taste, and it was delicious. The only criticism I have about the latte is that the Nutella flavor was extremely faint. It tasted more like a mocha latte than anything. Even so, it was enjoyable. The Omelette and French Toast came out fairly quick, and both were fantastic. Each and every item of food I tried was rich in taste and flavor. While I am not the biggest bread fan- the Challah Roll with Butter was delicious. The butter itself had a rich salty taste. The omelette was packed with red peppers, mozzarella, and spinach. Last but not least, the French toast was amazing. I was not expecting it to be topped with cream and garnished with strawberries, though it was, and it was wonderful. Overall, I would say my visit to Café Alma was fantastic. From the service to the food I chose, I would certainly recommend giving it a try!
I've heard of how wonderful this place is for years and it took me way too long to go! Don't make my mistake, go today!! The food was amazing and the service was great. Fresh ingredients, delicious plates, and the mimosa was perfection. I definitely recommend the roasted sweet potatoes for the side. We loved what we ordered and I need to go back to explore more of the menu 😍
