Crema's Take

This charming West Allis bakery and coffee shop has earned serious devotion for their exceptional pies, particularly the caramel apple pie that reviewers rave about as "the best in years"—generous with quality ingredients and clearly made with care. Beyond the pastries, it's a genuine community gathering spot with a cozy mix of indoor and outdoor seating where locals linger over traditional coffee drinks, making it the kind of place that feels special precisely because it prioritizes quality over trends. The warmth of a family-friendly neighborhood bakery shines through every review, whether people are stopping by for a quick sweet treat or settling in for a leisurely sit.

I am not a dessert or sweets person, but this place is amazing. Everything that I have tried is quality and delicious. Highly suggest the key lime pie and caramel apple pie, and they have these adorable mini versions. The lemon blueberry bar and carrot cake are also must buy. They have really good bread as well. This is definitely my favorite bakery!

We enjoyed shopping at this LOCAL coffee shop and bakery. Bought a caramel apple pie to take to a friend’s house. We all agreed It was the BEST pie we had in years. It had a LOT of apples and lovely crust and crumbs. There were many other baked goods that were very tempting. Also got some home made salmon dog treats that Nala loved! And my pumpkin latte was delicious

I discovered The Bake Sale in West Allis through the GoodieBag app and was excited to grab one of their Goody Bags. Mine came with two big pretzels and a pie. Both were delicious! My daughter devoured the pretzels. They were a little stale at first (which is expected with GoodieBag items since they’re day-old or unsold extras), but after a quick warm-up in the microwave they tasted perfect. The pie was amazing — I think it was tropical-flavored, and the filling was rich and flavorful while the crust was perfectly buttery and flaky. Overall, such a great experience and a fun way to try this bakery at a great price. I’ll definitely be back!

This is a cute bakery, bread and coffee spot. It includes some indoor and outdoor seating. It was popular and they were out of some of the items when we arrived mid morning on a Saturday. I tried the cheese and apple pie danish. They both leaned more bread like but were tasty. We'd definitely visit again if we're in the area.

We were across the street for lunch (Archie's Flat Top - separate review), and decided to stop over to check out the bakery. What a great treat, literally. This shop both bakery, cafe and coffee shop, all rolled into one. They have several large cases showing off all the different bakery items, breads, donuts, and more. They also carry a large selection of chocolates and confections. Many of the items are made fresh daily there, and the items that they source from other vendors (troubadour, stone creek, simmas, mollys) are clearly marked. They also have gluten free products too (some in a freezer case) Ended up getting a couple of pies to take home, one Door County Cherry and the other Apple. They serve a whole array of coffees and lattes (London Fog please), so I will be stopping back some morning to try one hot beverage and scone. Stay tuned....
