Crema's Take

Tucked into the scenic foothills north of the freeway, this beloved neighborhood spot feels like stepping into someone's warm home kitchen, where freshly made pastries and thoughtfully crafted coffee pair perfectly with generous breakfast portions. The mountain-view setting and unhurried vibe make it an ideal weekend gathering place, though arriving early is worth the effort to secure a seat in this cozy, locals-beloved hideaway.

I saw Mary’s in a story by Secret LA on instagram. Immediately, I wanted to find a way to experience it all. I went on a Sunday at 10am. It was crowded but I found parking easily and there wasn’t a problem finding a seat for 3 on the patio. The locale is incredible - location is in the middle of a San Gabriel canyon. Mountain stream rushing by, hills, stairways, trees all around. I may never get back here as I live on opposite sides of LA but very happy to experience it! The restaurant was busy the entire time I was there which likely explains service. Pricing is fair. Staff very approachable and friendly.

Great brunch spot if you're willing to fight everyone for parking and seating. I am.

This restaurant is located in a beautiful area of Sierra Madre. It feels like mom’s kitchen. The food is freshly made and the portions are perfect. The coffee, breakfast and pastry were delicious..

Wow that was awesome discovery.. This place is up in a hidden part of the mountains.. You drive through narrow roads to this place, it’s in a house and the food is delicious.. I might come back again to try a different dish..

Hidden away in the hills north of I-210, this place is oozed with coziness. We came here for its ambience and the beautiful location, and walked away with really delicious food. Since other reviewers were raving about its bacons, so naturally I had to order a BLT. The bacon was indeed excellent and the whole BLT was by far one of the best I’ve had. My wife’s eggs Benedict was also very good. The sitting area was full of collectibles from the bygone days. It was an immensely enjoyable experience.
