Crema's Take

Flora Gallery & Coffee Shop is a beloved New Orleans institution where a Seattle native vouches for the quality of their dark roast, and regulars come back nearly every day for their exceptional drip coffee at genuinely reasonable prices. Beyond the excellent espresso-focused drinks, this cozy spot doubles as a gathering place—complete with a shop cat, live piano music, and an atmosphere so warm that it's become a five-year sanctuary for homesick transplants and locals alike. Whether you're settling in for a full breakfast, a pastry, or just a meaningful conversation over coffee, Flora Gallery feels less like a café and more like the creative heart of the neighborhood.

I have been coming to this coffee shop almost every day for some time now. They make great drip coffee and the price is an exceptionally reasonable. I am from seattle and I know what good coffee is. I have never had a single complaint or inconvenience about their service. It's immaculate. Four days ago I showed up when they were opening and I needed help and they allowed me to use their phone and gave me coffee. This is a place that truly supports artists. They don't just say it. They treat me like every other paying customer. And that's what i've really needed right now. Gratitude would not begin to scratch the surface. I honestly really don't know what to say , and I don't want to say anything that sounds disingenuous. I wanted to leave this review here to whom to may concern. Thank you. 1000 times more, thank you. I have a lot to lose and I still have it because you guys helped me. I would have preferred to say this in person but I didn't want to make anyone uncomfortable or come off the wrong way. I look forward to getting to know everyone and being known by them. To all of you, sincerely, the man in black with a shopping cart full of guitars and a cute black dog. As they say here, IYKYK.

Im from texas but my husbands family is from N.O. This quaint little shop is adorable. They have a shop cat which, I absolutely love. The dark roast coffee is to die for. I have not tried thier eats yet but they all look great. The desserts are amazing. Blueberry oreo pie, great, tiramisu lovely, cream puff was good, chocolate chip cookie was good but def a couple of days old. Great in coffee though. Try them out!

Excellent experience at this breakfast café. The place is very cozy, clean, and has a pleasant atmosphere. The food was delicious, well prepared, and full of great flavor. We especially want to highlight the server, who was also the cook — he did an amazing job, preparing the food with great care and providing exceptional service, always friendly and attentive to every detail. Without a doubt, a place we highly recommend and would gladly return to.

Walked into this cozy spot for a sweet treat. Loved seeing the small tables of friends, gathered, actually having conversations with each other. A man played lovely on the piano in the back room. Cake kitties traced their way under many chair legs and tables. The barista was really nice and welcoming. I ordered the cinnamon roll (delicious and well priced) and grabbed an Anti-Gravity (local paper) to read. This place has such a chill vibe. A true staple of the neighborhood. Outside you may some some guys playing chess or reading the paper. Plants abound! Will definitely be back to try one of their sandwiches behind the deli. Visited: 12/8/2025.

This is one of the most special places in New Orleans. It’s my absolute favorite place and it’s been a safe space for me to disappear into since I moved here almost five years ago. There are so many fresh cold and hot options for food, and they’re always adding new things to the menu. The coffee is always fresh, the baristas are always on top of it and friendly, and there are two shop kitties who roam around checking on the customers as well. Just an all around magical place.
