Crema's Take

This Long Beach roastery wins people over with genuinely kind staff and a thoughtful approach to espresso-forward drinks—their lavender latte and PB Fit latte show a real creativity beyond the basics, even if execution can be a little delicate. They're the kind of place where you'll want to linger over a carefully pulled shot or pour over, and if you time it right for weekend mornings, there's a rotating food stall outside that adds to the neighborhood hangout vibe.

The breakfast burrito completely forgot seasoning was a thing. The bacon burrito tastes like unsalted eggs and beans wrapped in regret, barely held together by rubbery cheese. A TikTok scholar once said “if it’s cheesy it goes down easy” — they lied. And the “spicy” red sauce? Basically water that once made eye contact with a pepper. The 007 coffee though? Shockingly good. Shaken, not disappointing.

My partner and I really like Black Dog. The lavender latte they have is really good though it could be a little stronger on the lavender flavor, in my opinion. Everyone that works there is really nice and knowledgable about coffee. We took home a bag of their Guatemala this past weekend and we're enjoying the pourover brews it makes.

This used to be a different coffee joint. That place had a car crash into it. Gnarly. Anyways, that's irrelevant...this place is good!. Idk what I was expecting, but i was happy!. Tried the Iced Mocha 🧊 ☕️ good coffee! Didn't try the food. Seats hurt my butt but other than that 5/5 🌟

Stopped by Black Dog Coffee Roasters in Long Beach, as it was a recommendation from a co-worker. The staff and owner was really nice and welcoming. I tried their PB Fit Latte which was smooth and not too nutt, and the honey was a nice touch. Enjoyed the quiet ambiance as well.

What a great coffee shop. You can tell the beans are top quality. If you arrive early, you'll be able to enjoy their pastries. On weekends they have a food stall outside that offers burritos (vegan options available). You pre-pay for the food inside and then you go outside with your ticket to claim the food.
