Crema's Take

Tucked in downtown Nashville's JW Marriott building, this welcoming spot shines for its genuinely attentive service and convivial atmosphere that works equally well for a solo coffee break or a group gathering. Beyond the reliable cold brew and flaky croissants, what sets it apart is the full experience—friendly staff like Ha and the waitresses who make you feel like regulars, plus the bonus of occasional live entertainment like their line dancing events that turn an ordinary visit into something memorable. It's worth the premium pricing if you're seeking a place where the coffee is good but the human connection is even better.

Coffee Shop No. 535 Stompin Ground Market Nashville, Tennessee August 25, 2025 Stompin Ground Market is located in downtown Nashville, inside the same building as the JW Marriott Nashville and Bourbon Steak Nashville. So you can expect the same level of high-end service, quality products, and refined atmosphere you’d find at the JW Marriott. The baristas were exceptionally friendly and engaging—not just with me, but with other customers as well. They grind Illy Coffee Beans fresh for their espresso drinks. Illy Coffee is an internationally recognized brand, and I’ve never had a bad cup from any shop that uses their beans, so I was excited to see them on the shelf. Their coffee sleeves read “Always Grindin’”—a clever, motivating message that perfectly fits the vibe of Nashville. Overall, the baristas made a pretty solid cortado. My husband, our dog, and I sat outside, sipping our drinks and enjoying a bit of people-watching on a beautiful Nashville day. Enjoying life, one coffee shop at a time!

Pricey for what you end up getting in my opinion, but still tasty. The cold brew was good and the croissant was flaky.

Lauren and Mila did a fantastic job teaching our private party how to line dance. We had an absolute blast. I would definitely come back for the environment they provide.
