Bad Ass Coffee of Maui

3636 Lower Honoapiilani Rd #1, Lahaina, HI

Crema's Take

This Lahaina gem cuts through the tourist coffee noise with genuine craft and a barista who actually knows his stuff—think proper macchiatos and cortados made off-menu for those who ask. Their signature creations like the macaroon latte with oat milk hit that sweet spot between creative and balanced, while the one-person operation somehow manages long lines with warmth and personality that makes the wait feel worth it. If you're craving a real coffee experience on Maui rather than just another vacation cup, this unpretentious spot delivers.

Had a large cappacino. Away on vacation and was suffering through drip coffee....so this was an oasis. Tasted great. Brew master was quickly working through a long line. They have some fun swag.

Checked out this popular coffee joint based on reviews. Super friendly barista guy and line up moved reasonably well. If you like sweet coffee, this might be your place. My preference if clean, light coffee, taken black. My partner who ordered the Hawaiian latte enjoyed the drink. My light roast drip was far from light or medium roast. Tasted and looked much closer to dark roast. Disappointed with the black coffee but sweet coffee/espresso drinks seemed more popular here. I might have ordered the wrong thing.

Amazing coffee! I got the macaroon latte (coconut and vanilla) with oat milk and it was perfectly flavorful and not overly sweet. The perfect color. Very impressive one woman show, line was out the door and we didn’t wait more than 10 minutes! Will definitely be back

We went in Tuesday about an hour before closing, the guy was very nice and told us everything about the different coffee. He asked what we get at home and made the Hawaiian version. We also bought Maui Peaberry beans, which he ground for us. 5/5 will be back

The barista really knows what he is doing. He was able to make authentic macchiato and Cortado for us despite those not being on the menu. Will definitely recommend for real coffee drinkers.
