Crema's Take

Rivers and Roads Coffee is a seriously impressive espresso destination where the lattes are legitimately memorable and the pastries—especially their biscuits—live up to the hype. What sets this place apart is the thoughtful design for lingerers: perimeter tables are loaded with power outlets, making it genuinely laptop-friendly, plus they've nailed the balance between quality specialty drinks and solid light food that includes surprising options like breakfast fries and paninis. The vibe is warm and unhurried, with baristas who clearly care, making it the kind of spot visitors to Denver hear about before they arrive and locals would haunt daily if they could.

Living in Portland, Oregon we're kinda spoiled for restaurants that are completely gluten free or offer a generous menu for gluten free diners. So traveling can often be disappointing when it comes to gluten free dining. But Denver just might rival Portland because there are a lot of safe, tasty places to eat for us annoying gluten free diners, and Rovers and Roads is one of them. I checked this place out on a suggestion from my wife who had visited last summer, and it did not disappoint. The first time I ordered delivery and got the curried chicken salad sandwich with some fries and it was sooooo good. My wife raved about it and I honestly thought she was hyping it up, but she was not wrong. Really good. The next day I went to the coffee shop/cafe and I got the breakfast sausage and egg biscuit sandwich and potato hash patty and they were both very good. The biscuit was very good, like very good. Crispy on the outside and super-soft on the inside. The eggs were really fluffy and flavorful, and the sausage patty was equally good. That sandwich was really good. I really wish I had gone back to the case and bought some sweet treats to take home because if the two sandwiches I had were anything to go by then I assume their pastries and incredible. If you're living with a gluten free diet then you don't want to skip this place. Even though you don't know me, trust me.

Had some good breakfast fries, that’s a solid choice. Paninis looked good too! But I have to point out the abundance of power outlets! Tables around the perimeter have access to so many outlets you will never have a dead battery. I think that’s really underrated. So this is a great place if you need to plug your device in!

On November 26, 2025, I ordered the New Mexico chocolate and the butter coffee. Both hot drinks were delicious. The place is clean and the customer service is good. I only have one piece of feedback. I prefer to drink from a porcelain cup, and when I asked the cashier, he said yes. However, it seems he didn’t know that his coworker no longer allows porcelain cups after a certain time, possibly after 2 p.m., since I was there around 2:23 p.m. My drinks were given in to-go cups instead. It would be helpful if the staff communicated clearly with each other about the time when porcelain cups are no longer available. That way, customers can be informed before ordering and decide if they want to stay or return at an earlier time. I prefer to make that choice myself, rather than having it made for me. Had I known, I would have simply come back another morning. Other than that, the drinks were excellent, and I would definitely recommend this place.

I love it here 😭 if I lived in Denver I would be here every day. The latte was honestly the best I've ever had, and every bite of food was too good to be true. Their biscuit is really out of this world, and breakfast fries is a beautiful concept that I will recreate forever. So happy that they sold the biscuit mix so I can try to create a little piece of this heaven at home. Oh, and the strawberry donut holes were also the best donuts I've eaten since being gluten free. This place is magical!!

We aren't in Denver often, but since we heard so many great things about this place we had to stop in for a visit while we were in town. Very friendly service, great coffee and treats, nice atmosphere, and cute decor/merch. I enjoyed the Strawberry Shortcake Sweet Bread, which was very soft & moist. My husband had the coffee cake? And I think it was the Bananas Foster Latte, he really enjoyed both.
