Crema's Take

Wild Joe's Coffee Spot in downtown Bozeman strikes that rare balance between serious espresso craftsmanship and approachable warmth, with regulars praising the reliable consistency of their coffee and creative drinks like the distinctively sweet Dusty Joe and Mexican mocha. The spacious, adorable setting is equally suited for a quick caffeine fix or lingering work sessions, and their pastry game—from breakfast burritos to coffee cake muffins—holds its own alongside thoughtfully made beverages including their popular matcha lattes. Fair warning: if you're a purist who bristles at generous milk pours, you might want to specify your espresso preferences, but most visitors find the friendly crew strikes the right note for what feels like Bozeman's neighborhood coffee anchor.

Take this as constructive criticism please. Appalling. Just appalling. As a serious coffee person, seeing how much milk they dump with every ordered coffee, I mean I watched the crew fill more milk than a beverage would require and then dump so much liquid for every pour. If I were manager I’d have a Monday meeting and ask “ What the heck are you doing? And just stop it “ . For a place that has all the signs of composting and responsibility, to see so much wasted dairy and non dairy product, it was upsetting and made me angry. My recommendation? At the minimum don’t dump that milk. Save it in gallon jugs and make yogurt. Making yogurt is so easy. You just bring the liquid up to 180°, allow it to cool to 85°, stirred in 1 tablespoon of active culture yogurt from one of your grocery store yogurts and just let it sit in the pot in a warm space for 24 to 48 hours. Until solidified.. so easy. (Some photos of my personal coffee life to show that I’m offering this as constructive criticism).

Stopped in for coffee and a matcha with my daughter on our way to the airport. We grabbed a breakfast burrito and a donut. Coffee and food were very good. My daughter thought her iced matcha latte was one of the best she has had and her donut was delicious. While we enjoyed the food and drink, what stood out was the friendly service and the friendly customers we struck up a conversation with! Friendly spot; will visit again next time for sure.

Great coffee, nice location, friendly staff, affordable. I love going here. I’ve become a regular. The photo is a dusty Joe. It was really good and if you want something a little sweeter but not overwhelming like some other coffee shops, then I recommend the Dark chocolate mocha. :)

I normally order a dark roast drip coffee and my wife orders the Chai (sweet) tea. There is a reliable consistency to the taste of their coffee and tea. I order a coffee cake muffin and it also tastes great, although they could increase the size of the muffin a bit. The atmosphere is excellent and we enjoy looking at the featured artist’s work on the walls. They have a balanced amount of smaller and larger tables. Overall, it is our favorite coffee shop in the downtown area!

Just an adorable space. Went here at 7:30 on a Tuesday and it was pretty busy for that early but there's so much seating. It is located in the heart of downtown which is perfect. I got a Mexican mocha which was just perfect and wish I was hungry when I walked in the bakery case was full of goodies and the sandwiches looked great too!
